Narthok 10416 Share Posted November 23, 2017 The Thorned Crown, Dwelling in Shadow The bearer of the Thorned Crown of Norland, Javier Ruric is hereby declared an anathema to the Father’s children. As defender of the faith Javier Ruric has failed to safeguard the First Hearth Temple.. The All Father demands penance from his fallen son. The bearer of the Thorned crown will submit to penance by fire. Furthermore the bearer of the thorned crown will immediately construct a new Hearth Temple to house the All Father’s flame .Javier Ruric is barred from the halls of the father until his penance is paid in full. Due to his failure Javier Ruric is temporarily stripped of his title as defender of the faith. As custom dictates the title passes to the heir apparent. Thus we of the Father’s flame do bestow the title unto Jevan Ruric. Jevan Ruric is charged with defending the Father’s children on behalf of the All Father. This title will remain Jevan’s until his father pays his penance or Jevan joins the Father in his halls. By the Father’s Will, Arthas, Keeper of the First Flame

Pancakehz 2279 Share Posted November 23, 2017 Jorvik Ash, legendary bastard son of the great Javier Ruric, steps forward "If there is one thing I have learned in my life, it is never to trust the word of a traitor. You speak ill of my father yet you are the one who abandoned your people in their time of need. The radical assumption that his son, my half-brother, Jevan would ever think to usurp his father is ludicrous. Unlike you Arthas, we have standards as men of the Red Faith. Loyalty and honor are are among the many traits I was raised to uphold. You clearly lack this ability to uphold some of our most basic yet important principles. As a soldier that fought personally in Norland's most recent conflict, I watched the men of the Red Faith lay down their lives for King Javier and he would've sooner done the same for them. If that is not the definition of a defender, than my mother was not a *****. However Arthas, correct me if I am wrong, but I don't recall seeing you on the field of battle that day. Perhaps you were cowering behind a quill and paper, writing another letter to slander men of higher standards than yourself."
Ankalagon_ 258 Share Posted November 23, 2017 Avalon finishes reading the parchment out loud. He sighs and sets it down on the grand table before him. He looks up, where several dozen men have ceased their conversations and drinking, and now watch Avalon. Avalon looks up at the men, and a moment of silence fills the hall. Avalon can't hold it any longer, a grin cracks on his face and he begins to laugh. The men's faces soon break as well, and soon the Silversteed hall is filled with the uncontrollable laughter of the Black Guard. Avalon clutches his stomach, for it hurts he is laughing so hard. He loses control of his hand and his cup falls out of his hand. The men continue to laugh and several others spill their ale. Even the squires can't help themselves and laugh at the absurdity of the claim. Through ragged breaths Avalon manages to say "the fool calls himself Keeper of the Flame! And where has he been? Where has he been to tend to the Flame? Where has he been to tend to the sacred Ash tree? A traitor at heart trying his best to make himself relevant. Someone go remind this fool of his place." The king was declared an anathema for his failure to defend and maintain the sacred temple of our faith. The temple is gone, this is a fact. Once it is restored or replaced the sin will be forgiven. cakefool 307 Share Posted November 23, 2017 Javier would step out of a war meeting in Jornheim after a Norlandic runner barged in delivering him the news. Javier rushed to find his son, Jevan, dispatching him to Norland to reconstruct the temple that was destroyed by Sky Gods. "Just trying to win a war, unlike many of my ancestors. You shouldn't have abandoned Norland in its time of need. My new temple will be built by my son, just stop bitching." Javier would simply state, a calm look upon his face

drfate786 1690 Share Posted November 23, 2017 The sinister evil proceeds to steal the thorned crown while Javier sleeps, it places it in his dungeon in an unknown place for safe keeping where it truly would lay in darkness. It giggles a treacherous little giggle, knowing full well of the horrors it would inflict upon Norland. ((Yes, I'm stealing the crown and yes it will be stored in a dungeon in 6.0 and yes you will have to go retrieve it from an evil dungeon lord. You can thank me later.))
