Lingering Lands, Mystic Maps

 

 

Recently, The Monks of Cloud Temple have received a cryptic piece of cartography, by an equally enigmatic traveler. Yet this map is not whole, bits and pieces of it are seemingly missing, likely made so on purpose. Before the map-gifting individual departed they gave yet more parchment to the denizens of Cloud Temple; a list of obscure riddles detailing where the rest of these fragments are hidden, placed throughout a multitude of locations within the three continents of Axios.

 

They promptly began working at this enciphered list, publishing the riddles over time. The Monks declare they will offer recognition to those who find the fragments within the next Cloud Temple they would construct presumably some time in the future.

Within tarnished walls of masonry,

A battle long past was fought,

Where a Drakaar’s wrath was shown and men did falter,

I reside at the base of his pillar.

A blue haze perpetually hangs here,

Endowed by the folly of a regal man,

Past the broken arch, I lie.

Within drab deserts,

The sons and daughters of Krug toiled here,

A new beginning from conquest,

Abandoned now, I dwell in front a wooden bridge.

 

Undecipherable gibberish lies below, the rhetoric not yet solved by the Monks.

More vague nonsense is scrawled below, those of the Cloud Temple working to decode it.
