What’s the rule you agree with the most?: The fact that there is no ERP allowed, I've always agreed with those kind of statements as it protects younger audiences from experiencing something that...shouldn't be seen.

How did you find out about Lord of the Craft?: Through multiple people saying they have been here before. Thought I would try it out.

What is Roleplaying?: 

Roleplaying is, in its own terms, acting. It is the act of playing another person/being as they embark on an adventure that is other worldly.

What is Metagaming?: Metagaming is the simply use of OOC information and using it IC with your character. It is more clean in definition than powergaming and can easily be used. For example, if a friend where to spit at me a horrid secret of a character in real life...I can't go about yelling about it in character or else that would mean big trouble.

What is Power-emoting (Powergaming)?: Powergaming in the simple terms is defined by two sides of a coin.  One side of the coin states that Powergaming is the perfection of a character or more like making your character a god who can overcome even the admins. The other side of the coin is forcing the action of another player to do something totally out of line. For example, a mix of both, to where someone tries to hit me I would without doing anything, just dodge it and slice their head clean off.

Now you actually make your character - be creative but stay reasonable! Make sure they make sense and that they follow lore. Try to come up with a character that you actually want to play.

Biography  (This is one of the most important sections of the application. Please take your time and make it a decent paragraph long. Read up on your character's race and be sure to add at least one accurate reference from the server lore): (where does your character come from?; where have they traveled to?; what year were they born in? et cetera.)

Maxistraw was born into a desert tribal family near the city of San'Torr in 1625, the tribe proud and true to the Orc nature. Yet something was off about him when he was born, as he was growing up he would never speak, he was a mute. As he had grown up, somehow he kept going, even in the harsh conditions and bizarre traditions the Orc community would put him through. Though he is a very big odd ball, he stayed in the tribe of course but he never saw the need for wrestling or swords even. Though whenever he would have to, he would preform what they asked of him to keep alive and active. He was afraid of getting looked down on already as it is. When he started to become more his own as he grew to be 10-11, he found an interest for drawing. At first he would draw pictures in the hard ground with rocks or anything he could get his hands on. Then he found animal skin and began drawing on those as well. Unlike his bloodlust companions, he was more docile. He found love for cooking and drawing, but kept his skills more hidden in those areas. To 'fit' in he kept wrestling and fighting as they pleased, stepping up whenever he could. Even without his voice he made an impact on the community around him. 

 

Years began to pass and his heart ached for something else. He wanted to be proud of his tribe, be like his ancestors before him, but something in his mind told him otherwise. When he became 19 he noticed something as well, as others sought desire to mate with the other females...he found none. He only wished to love a person rather than only mate with them or just mate with them in general. Though he was at times pressured to try he refused to. He stuck to his midnight drawings as he had made a small book for himself made from animal hide. One day, his heart began to ache more for he knew he didn't belong in this place. With guilt heavy on his mind...he packed up things in the middle of the night...and fled to see what else he may find.

 

Personality Traits: (what are your character's quirks?; habits?; likes and dislikes?)

Max is an overall sweetheart when it comes to interacting with other people. Even though he is unable to speak he finds great enjoyment of listening to others stories and lives, even if it is very tedious and boring. He finds drawing and cooking to be quite fascinating in all sorts of ways as he loves the arts. He tends to hate cold weather of all sorts, even wind makes him annoyed at times. Max is also in love with any and all types of foods he can get his hands on, especially if it is either really sweet or really bitter. He loves music and nature itself, unlike his brethren he finds others cultures to be quite interesting to learn about. As I've stated, he is an odd ball. (Dunno if I'm allowed to make him stray from the Orc tradition this much, but if needed I can tweak some things.)

 

Ambitions: (what does your character aspire to be?)

Max dreams of finding a place where he feels like he belongs, he wishes to gain a voice even though he lacks one. A voice in a sense that he makes changes to a place and group that overall impacts them for the better. He wishes to change his thought process of the animalistic nature of his brethren even though he still holds many of their traits.

 

Strengths/Talents: (what is your character really, really good at?)

As stated in previous paragraphs, Max is a talented artist and cook. He sketches like no other and can capture things in an odd way. Having no voice has led him to be able to read people, read their facial expressions and their stances. He is also very capable with the axe and talented in wrestling as he was trained to be even though he tries not to use it. 

 

Weaknesses/Inabilities: (what is a skill that your character needs to work on?)

His biggest weakness would be how to communicate with others, best he can do is shake and nod his head or point to a few drawings. He is working on it. Another weakness for him is his kindness, as it is often taken advantage of by others. He tends to be awkward as well due to his happenings which one could consider that a weakness. He can be very envious of others at times as well and hides it well enough but can sometimes be very obvious.

 

Appearance: (what does your character look like?; how tall are they?; hair color?; scars?)

Max has always been like a runt, he isn't as tall as the other orcs as he only stands at 5'9 at the current moment. Though he hopes to grow more as time passes. He only has small tucks on the corners of his mouth. He has shaggy dirty brown hair that covers most of his face and is unkept. He has golden brown eyes, a small nose, and little dark freckles. His body is quite toned and intimidating but he doesn't seem to be proud of his strength, a bit insecure.

He wears a ragged shirt that only has one sleeve, as it is the only shirt he has come to like. The shirt is a deep red with brown leather straps seeming to be sown into it. He wears a big wooly red scarf around his neck that has always been with him, it is a keepsake from his tribe. He wears worn pants that are tucked in by equally worn boots, they have seen what looks like great ware and tear. He has a single belt with little packs and items for the go.
