Hermit Crab Triumph

I have successfully repelled the ant invasion in my hermit crab enclosure. Anyone else ever had something similar occur?

No substrate because I was unprepared for the onslaught of ants in their enclosure. They were only in this for a few hours. Lid was on it most of the time. I have two hermit crabs. There was an extra shell for each in case they decided to switch shells while in there. 

Very blurry but my smaller boy clung to my thumb while I was moving him. His name is Herman the Yerman Kerb.

Another picture of him poking his head out. Never get to see them so I figured I'd take pictures while I moved him to the emergency enclosure....

 

Hermit crabs are great pets but require a lot more than people think! Always do research before purchasing pets. Have a great day.

I HAVE ALSO HAD A VICTORY AGAINST ANTS. ONE WAS NAMED DPM. I SQUISHED HIM.

 

No kidding. I have battled ants before and they are hell. Also, I've seen your hermit crabs before and I love them, they're so cute. :3
