Prince Alfred I on a hunting trip, circa 1657

Everything would seem as if a normal day in Cyrilsburg until a bell would be sounded from one of the highest towers, as the citizens along with the Southern Brigade would gather around the square looking up on top of a balcony where her Serene Highness Linette Eliza Devereux would appear looking down at the Curonic people of Cyrilsburg.

"It is with great sorrow that I come before you today to announce that our beloved Prince Alfred, my husband, has been brutally murdered on his quest to hunt the Great White Stag. Just this morning, his squire returned to Cyrilsburg; bloodied, beaten and speaking of the undead attack that had left Alfred and his attendants slaughtered.

It is apparent that a small horde of undead had set up upon the Prince and his hunting party. Alfred carried an aurum weapon which he then slew many of the creatures in an attempt to valiantly hold them off in order for his squire to tell the tale. During this time of mourning, we must make certain the undead do not cause any more harm than they already do. From henceforth, I will make it my duty to ensure all undead are to be slaughtered on slight. For far too long have their crimes against Humanity and the Church been dealt with leniently.

In the wake of these events and the lack of all other candidates for leadership, I will be ending my Regency in order to declare myself Rightful Ruler of Curon, in my new role as Princess Regnant. During my short Regency, Curon has seen a boost in her economy, military, and the general populace - Along with the new Privy Council and reformed August Administration, Curon will flourish once more."

Ave Curonia!
