Log One, 15th of Snow's Maiden, 1658

I have fled from my home in the Silver State in the months of The Amber Cold. The air was chilly and the wind cold at my skin. I had nowhere else to go but the Druidic Order. Arriving there I met two Dark Elves, who I warily introduced myself. They said that no Guides were around yet, but if I looked hard enough I would be able to find one. I have spent the last month reading up on Dedicancy and the Aspects. I have no luck so far in finding one, so I left a note in front of the Dominion Grove and the Druidic Order. For now, I will return to my musings and readings.

Log Two, 15th of Malin's Welcome, 1658

This month I finally got a letter back, stating that he was the Willow Druid, and he would do my interview. During the interview, I noticed that he did not like me referring from texts. He did however pass me! He said that my first trial should be next month. In the meantime, I should talk to other Druids and study more about the Aspects.

Log Three, 9th of Grand Harvest, 1658

For my first task, The Willow Druid instructed that I give up two objects of value and place them beneath the shrines. I put the statue of The Mother below the big statue of the Mother, and cut off a lock of hair for the Father. Then I once again silt my hand open. I passed the first trial, and I got a hollow cord and a bead. Net month shall be my second trial.

Log Four, 4th of Amber Cold, 1658

For my second task, I was given the task of repairing an imbalance in nature. This could have been anything that I wanted to do, aside from repairing large swaths of land and hunting Voidal Mages. So I went out into the wilds, to find something that I could fix. I spent about a month and a half out in the wilds in total, and I found a baby birds nest that had fallen. The Willow Druid had also said I was not to upset the balance, so I carefully went over.  The baby birds were cheeping from their mother, they still had pink flesh and beady eyes. Their heads were too big for their body and they comically and constantly lowered their head due to the weight. I spent three weeks in total nursing them back to health, one of them having taken a particular fondness of me. I do not know much about birds in general, though from my guidebook, this one will be large and I assume female. It's head will be a pale grey with a pale stripe on it's eyes, and it's got red eyes. It's wingspan is about 150cm and gray with pale cream. The front of the bird will be white with pale grey stripes and large talons and a large beak. I will take her back to The Willow Druid as my sort of pet.

Log Five, 4th of Amber Cold, 1660

For my third and final task with The Willow Druid, Guyden, I was taken to a sheer clifftop and told to jump. When I did what was instructed, he made no moves on stopping me, either by force or Druidic magic. I would have certainly plummeted to my death, was it not his words. He claimed that he did it to teach me not to follow in blind faith, and I responded that his hopes of reversing 100 years of conditioning and Bronze meditation was not to be solved by a single session.

So I requested a new Guide.

I no longer find Guyden fit to be my Guide, whatever fallacies he held in his mind, I had my suspicions from day one that he did not have my best interests. I wrote to my new Guide, to express my not approval of Guyden's actions, and the new Guide simply wrote back 'Guyden's methods are extreme but have a lesson to it'. A lesson in what? Not trusting him anymore? Not believing what they say? In that instant, I almost quit Dedicany and Druidism all together! What lesson comes from the mind of a mad man, held only together by false ideologies and flawed thinking? Why would I wish to trust him anymore? Why would I wish to follow under his wing anymore?

No, I shall not. Today I shall seek to make my own path, one that I have been longing to do for eons. I shall make my own Way, and follow under my new Guide.

Blessed be.

Auralia would sigh and rub her face. "I was giving you an alternative with the Church of the Canon, and yet you chose the Druids instead..." she groaned. "Oh well... I suppose it can't be helped. If you do come under fire, though, my offer to bring you in to the Order of Blessed Catherine for safety and refuge in exchange for learning Canonism still stands, and it always will." she added, giving the High Elf a friendly smile.
