Nestled at the corner of the town square, Caras Eldar’s clinic is a pocket of tranquility in the bustling centre of Elvenesse. Between its wooden walls, countless patients have been saved, babies born, wounds mended. The thrumming lifeblood of the building-- its clinicians-- peacefully make poultices and tend to the injured, all while balancing other facets of their lives.

 

The Clinic of Caras Eldar will aid any patient, no matter their race or beliefs. It will actively hire any healer who wishes to devote their services to the Dominion and its people.

 

Roles

Manager/Head Healer - This position serves as an administrator and overseer of the clinic. They are responsible for hiring and dismissing workers, replenishing stock, keeping records, and ensuring that all patients are being cared for.

 

Clinician - Serving as healers, members of this position work on the floor. They heal patients, prescribe medications, and handle the day to day happenings of the clinic. Each clinician has a different skill set, some specialising in magic, and some in traditional medicine and herbcraft. Whatever the case may be, each is hand picked for their expertise in the medical field.

 

Assistant - While unable to perform healings on their own, assistants help the clinicians by bringing them materials, holding wounds shut, cleaning the water basins, et cetera. They are traditionally younger, less experienced healers who have basic knowledge in the field, but are aiming to learn more in order to become clinicians themselves.

 

Apprentice - An apprentice shadows clinicians in their day to day duties in order to learn more about the profession. They are unable to perform healings, but may help where instructed. After serving as an apprentice for three or more healings, members of this role are eligible to become assistants. If an apprentice is assigned to a specific clinician, they are responsible for keeping the records.

Code of Conduct

Members of the clinic will:

Aid any being who comes to the clinic, regardless of race, gender, age, beliefs, or conflicting personal relationships.

Use medicines and tools responsibly, being conscientious of other clinicians and their patients.

Keep a record of all patients healed, noting their name and malady. They will record this legibly, and submit it to the Head Healer on request.

Clean their workstations and follow hygiene practices that prevent infection within their patients. (Washing hands before healing, cleaning tools.)

Follow the instructions of the Head Healer.

Respect the boundaries of a patient, and refrain from using magic unless absolutely necessary.

Maintain a cool and calm demeanour even in the face of chaos.
