Grand Harvest, 1668

 

A great battle was waged between two giants; Renatus, and Courland, over the whitest peak you may have ever seen. Men steeled for battle, orcs and elves fighting together shoulder to shoulder, dwarves releasing war cries, it was a sight to behold. The Renetians and their allies were upon them, a great tide of men surging to their gates, the great hammering of both sides trebuchets letting loose death and destruction wherever they hit. As the Renetians tried valiantly jumping in, and the Courlanders prepared themselves for battle, one Courlander had jumped from the walls and slayed a Renetian straggler.

 

"Nothing at all..." he said to himself, kicking the lifeless body off of his blade.

FIRST BLOOD

was rung through the minds and ears of every man! All could feel the smiling faces of the omnipresent sky gods, watching all. A Renetian blow to be sure, but not for the one who had spotted him. From the distance, an Olog and his Orcish kin had witnessed what had happened. Rushing forward bravely, the Orc met him in battle.

"You! You may think big of yourself now, but face me in battle and you will face the true testament of men!" raising his blade, the valiant Orc struck on the Courlander, and both tested eachother's mettle. A clash back and forth, a war within a war, the Orc eventually overpowered the Courlander, a final blow to send him to the monks. He looked to the sky, reveling in the blood and glory, yet what he soon saw terrified him. 

 

"No, no! I beat him fairly, without the assistance of demonic powers!" but he was raised into the sky, engulfed into the clouds with only his Olog brother to look on helplessly.

 

Yet, his enemy, was still second blood.
