LOTC Crusaders, inspired by the MANY Overwatch tournaments like the Scrub Cup, Open Division, Contenders, is a concept for an LOTC "Warclaim-Style" tournament.
THE BASICS:

  • Tournament will consist of teams of 10.
  • Teams of 10 will NOT be affiliated with a nation, therefore this will be a great opportunity to experience the cancer salt Excitement of an LOTC Warclaim without being a part of a nation.
  • The prize pool will consist of Minas, not real life currency.
  • The Entry fee will be 1000 Minas, which is 100 Minas per team member.
  • Warclaim-style means it will be based off of, but not 100% follow, the LOTC Warclaim System.
  • Each Match will be a best of three maps: A Siege Battle map, a Field Battle Map, then a randomly selected tiebreaker map if the match is tied 1-1(This one could be either gamemode)
  • The Tournament would consist of three rounds:
    • A Round-Robin Group Stage
    • A Single-Elimination Playoffs stage consisting of the winners of each group stage group. If a tie is had, Round Differential will break the tie. In the rare instance that both Round Differential and Record are both tied, a tiebreaker match will be played.
    • The Finals, consisting of the final two teams remaining. The Finals match will be a best of five(The Order will be Siege, Field, Siege, Field, Random).
  • ALL MATCHES WILL BE CASTED. (We will need casters!)

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN NORMAL WARCLAIMS

  • On Siege Rounds, teams will take turns attacking then defending. Teams will continue taking turns attacking and defending until one team is successful, while the other fails to be.
  • Each Sub-Round to Siege Rounds will only last 10 minutes max, but the maps will be designed to move quicker.
  • You will be provided with gear: One set of iron armor, one Iron sword, one bow, 32 arrows, 3 splash healing potions, and 1 lingering regeneration potion.
  • Field Rounds will be best of three subrounds.

This is still WIP, if there's enough interest I'll write a full rulebook.

Sounds interesting, but it's hard to schedule for a group of 10. Even for all registered groups of 5 people, even a quarter will be an amazing result

Moved to The Great Library. It shall be sorted into the appropriate category shortly.

If you feel this is a mistake, please contact myself or any FM and we'll restore it.
