OFFICIAL IMPERIAL REPORT

Reporting Knight: Ser Frederick Alexander Baden

 

Incident: BATTLE AGAINST THE GATEKEEPER OF THE RED GATE

Individuals Involved: Ser Frederick, Ser Seth, Ser Brand, Ser Robert, Ser Carlovac and Ser Jan.

 

Details of Incident:

In light of our battle against the skinwalker, and the visions that we had seen. I assembled a crew of some of the best knights of the realm, Ser Brand, Ser Carlovac and Ser Jan, and brought along Ser Seth and Ser Robert as they had both accompanied me during the other incidents regarding the Red Gate.

 

We travelled south again, and once we had reached the wastes a voice spoke out to us. “So you’ve come to die.” A leaflet fell into the snow, and upon looking at it Ser Robert deduced it to be a location. We headed to the location, discovering the Red Gate and its Gatekeeper.

 

The Gatekeeper was a bald man with a scarred face, covered in full plate and with a greatsword. His movements were erratic and he seemed to have otherworldly abilities. He monologued for a while about the gate, its creatures, and how the south was his peaceful domain, free of war and conflict.

 

Myself, Ser Robert, Ser Seth and Ser Jan charged at the Gatekeeper before he could attack us first, though our attack was futile as our blades merely bounced off his armour. Through his hand, he shot pure electricity at us. Though, while he was distracted, Ser Jan managed to get up behind him, smashing the pommel of his blade into the Gatekeeper’s head, splitting his skull.

 

This proved to not be the end of the battle, as the Gatekeeper regenerated and unleashed a hellish blast of pure sound. We once again engaged in combat with the Gatekeeper. We relentlessly pushed against him, getting his back against the Red Gate, as his back began to disintegrate, Ser Robert managed to incapacitate him, and he offered us a surrender. We chose not to accept, and Ser Seth spin-kicked him into the Red Gate, causing the Gatekeeper to disintegrate into nothing.

 

The Red Gate shattered afterwards, we can only wonder where it led and what it truly was. We will investigate further shall the opportunity arise.
