       Today is the second general election in the history of the Imperial Parliament. Voters have had plenty of opportunities to vote in by-elections and primaries over the last five years, but this is the first time that voters will participate in the next scheduled general election since Parliament’s implementation. This election offers a particularly suspenseful climate, as the new Aurelian Party has seemingly replaced their more radical predecessors, the Priorist Party, at least in electoral politics. This election shall be considered a referendum on how moderate ideals appeal to the voters. Elections will be hosted in Markev and Belvitz, with the election in Carolustadt being uncontested. Following the election, the next official legislative term of the Imperial Parliament will begin at Speaker Morris’ discretion, following another five years with new Parliamentary members.
