THE TOKOKO LIBERATION ARMY

 

 

 

“Through struggle and hardship does the Lotus blossom in the thickest of mud,” - said an old Li man we thought wise.

 

In response to the aggression of the alien gaijin of this continent, Master Bobo of Clan Kato hereby declares the formation of the Tokoko Liberation Army to serve in defense of the communitarian Dong-Zhu (Eastern) peoples in their eternal revolution against the despots of our Ai-Zho homelands. No longer will the rice farmer or fisherman be taken advantage of by greedy Li kings or barbaric Sea Khans. Through our eternal revolution the common Dong-Zhu will rise up in society and improve their livelihoods.  

 

The Tokoko Liberation Army is a standing conscripted and volunteer based militia. All men of Tokoko ages 14 to 60 must enlist and be ready to defend the Socialist Eastern peoples. Women are not conscripted but may volunteer. Regulars, the full time soldiers of the Liberation Army, are eligible for promotion.

CHAIN OF COMMAND:

The Captain of the Tokoko Liberation Army is picked by the Shogun from his military advisors to lead his militia. He has direct control over the Shogun’s forces and may pick his officers at his own discretion. Heads of established and recognized clans are given the rank of Shōbainin (Specialist)  automatically.

 

Rikugun-Tai-i (陸軍大尉) - CAPTAIN

Leader of the Tokoko Liberation Army.

 

Rikugun-Chūi (陸軍中尉) - FIRST LIEUTENANT

The second in command of the Tokoko Liberation Army.

 

Rikugun-Shōi (陸軍少尉) - SECOND LIEUTENANT

The third in command of the Tokoko Liberation Army.

 

Shōbainin(商売人) - SPECIALIST, SENIOR SOLDIER

Clan Heads, Samurai and Veteran soldiers in charge of leading small excursions.

 

Jōtōhei (上等兵) - REGULAR, VOLUNTEER SOLDIER

Volunteers who are FULL-TIME soldiers.

 

Nitōhei (二等兵) - ENLISTED, SOLDIER SECOND CLASS

Conscripted soldiers who serve PART-TIME and defend home.

 

MEDALS AND COMMEMORATION:

The Rising Sun Medals

Awarded to those who have accomplished repeated extraordinary feats on the battlefield. There are six classes of awards denoting one’s work for the community.

 

1st Class: Grand Cordon

2nd Class: Gold and Silver Star

3rd Class: Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon

4th Class: Gold Rays with Rosette

5th Class: Gold and Silver Rays

6th Class: Silver Rays

 

The New Heritage Medal

Those who have put the lives of their fellow people above their own, particularly in battle, are bestowed this award. It is not uncommon for it to be given to individuals posthumously after dying in battle.

 

The Tokoko Philanthropist Medals

Donations of wealth to the community by citizens of Tokoko are awarded with the following class of medals and their mina tier.

 

1st Class: Grand Cordon - 30,000 mina

2nd Class: Peony Class - 25,000 mina

3rd Class: Butterfly Class - 20,000 mina

4th Class: Wisteria Class - 15,000 mina

5th Class: Apricot Class - 10,000 mina

6th Class: Ripple Class - 5,000 mina
