Hello Sir!

I would love to try out for such a job, I feel as if I would get along well with the duties listed here. Before I left to adventure I was a farm hand at my Uncle's farm for many years, so I feel I have a knack for these kinds of things.

I am still getting to learn my ways around this new area, but I'd do my best Sir! I should be up for an appointment tonight ((friday, passed 3PM EST)) and I shall try my hardest!

Greetings sir Gordok Yon Hammer, Baron of Alras,

I'm the dwarf Solar and I've just heard of your work opportunity and I've immediately written this letter.

I can't hide this work is pretty interesting and is a great chance to continue my father's way, because he was a farmer that taught me all is needed to know about the ancient art of farming, but also to keep my young muscle trained with the work of lumberjack.

If you haven't employed someone yet and if you think I could be a good worker, i beg you to contact me for a place and an hour where we could meet for stipulate a contract.

Best wishes,

Solar Balderk

Lovely way you give this job opportunity. Very good idea!

One thing you should have in mind though is that 250 minas per RL week is VERY little, even if we include the extra materials you get from harvesting over the quota. But as you include those materials and a protected area etc. etc. it might be balanced out a little bit. Just bare it in mind. (Basic pay in Aegis should be 100-300 minas per RL day from what I heard).

Thank you so much for the compliment. I am trying to assist the new players as best as I can and lead by example.

First off, I shall assume the above is all OOC, because it would never do for a Dark Elf to be correcting Baron Gordok Yon Hammer.

OOC: The pay for the position was based on the groundskeeper performing their job a couple of days per week. The benefits of allowing them to keep the extra material over the quota and they get a free house (small but free) in a protected area, I thought would make up for the lowish pay. I would also hope that a friendship would develop between Gordok and the Groundskeeper over time and together they would enter into much more lucrative endeavors.

Good Dwarf Solar,

It is truly a blessing to be carrying on the work of one's father. I am but 221 years old, but my first path in life was to leave home, striking out on my own... forsaking my father's teachings. About a decade later my father became ill and died without me at his side. Now I have returned to the family estate to continue my father's businesses. Please learn from my mistakes and embrace the teachings of your father.

I look forward to speaking with you. I will send runners for you this evening (Friday, after 3:00 EST) so that we can make arrangements to meet. If you will be unavailable at this time, please suggest an alternate.

Baron Gordok Yon Hammer

Trevin makes his way into the beautiful town of Oren, in hopes of soon meeting his possible future employer. He carries with him all he has collected so far on his journey, in hopes of soon finding a new place to settle in.

((I tried to message you back on minecraft, not sure if it worked, so here is where I am.))

((Ahh, yes I am sorry for the lousy no-RP approach.

Regarding the pay, I see. I think your pay is quite fair, I'm not saying it is not. But I just think you should have what I said in mind, for future reference.))

*Chuckles* Dear Baron. We Dark Elves are not as rough as most might seem. Myself, in fact, are of quite honorable birth, if I may say so, and I am an Archaeologist and hopefully becoming a professor on the subject. I can agree that some of my fellow Dark Elves can be rough and do not talk as you might want an elf to do. But most of us are actually quite well spoken. I must say that we might not be as fine as the High Elves, but we are just as well spoken as the Wood Elves and the regular elves.

If you now, did intend that note as a pun, I already smile and blush at the fact that I went on with this lengthy speech about the dark skinned.
