ferdaboy 3488 Share Posted June 30, 2019 THE FOURTH & FIFTH CONTRACT OF THE PHOENIX The day was young, as the morning sun had yet risen, yet the men of the Phoenix Band knew they had a busy day ahead of them; with news their launch now widespread, many sought to negotiate contracts with the renowned swordsmen. They trekked along the dirt roads, chanting merry tunes to inspire them on their journey. Their destination was far from their home of Brannby, foreign and vastly unknown to them, yet together, they arrived to the magnificent trade city known as Sutica. Officials had sought the Band to train them for two Saints Hours. The training was long and arduous, but fruitful for the Suticans as they learned from the veteran fighters. After their lesson was concluded, the regiment left happily with their appetites satiated. And so, mounted upon their brisk steeds, the men ventured home. Satisfied by yet another successful contract. The second contract involved the protection of Lady Theodosia Tiber of Cascadia, escorting her to the beloved city of Avalain, the capital of Curonia. Despite the pertinent dangers of the roads, the men of the Phoenix Band were ready for any incursion to occur. To their gratification, a band of Reivers swaggered down the hills. In the moments following, steel crashed as it met steel and as the brigand of miscreants received a defeat at the hands of the Phoenix. Yet, as expected, an embarrassing loss was not enough for the Reivers. On the way back from Curonia, after the band brought another contract to fruition, the Reiver band had returned for some desperate attempt to beat the men of the Phoenix and improve on where they had lacked before. Using their advanced skills, and communication, the lackluster Reivers stood no match for the Phoenix Band. No luck was to be found as the Reivers fell for the second time in the Saints Hour. [!] A copy of a missive would be attached, offering the services of the Phoenix Band throughout Arcas.
