A Warning to the Faithful

Lyra’s eyes scanned over the missive, hardly able to even focus on the words as she continued with a growing sense of anger. She blinked at the paper several times before shaking her head, laughing bitterly. “The hell? ‘Luck alone’ that we were spared? The people of Llyria were his friends. Magnus has helped the nation grow for years, he was never here to do anything but help us grow. And this is how he’s repaid? Harassed over being injured, told to leave his home, and now this? It’s like you had cotton in your ears for his testimony.” The elfess ranted to seemingly no one, saddened that it had all come to this. “I think we could all do with a little more compassion for everyone involved.”

“This I shall agree on, Granted of the fact of how people cared more for Magnus to work at the tavern when he was right at death's door is absurd. He was one of the people who had placed our laws before his own teachings as the Hou-zi claimed. I believe that this missive is glossing over many things unsaid. Magnus was a friend of the people and stood by our side for years to help build llyria to what it is today. Yet we cast him out like he was a bloodlust Criminal? The fact how they also mentioned of the Hou-zi also means nothing as they were not directly involved nor the monks either.” the elf would shake his head, staring at this bias missive before walking away
