THE IMPERIAL WATERWAYS EDICT

 

Above is a comprehensive map of the inland waterways of the realm. Such notably excludes waterways deemed useless or unsuitable, due either to their lack of navigability or their location (a number of otherwise landlocked ponds and streams, for instance), the majority of which lie in the frozen north or the barren east.

 

Land territories held in the realm of Holy Orenia are signified by the pale pink ink used for their names, whilst independent territories are marked in red. A similar red ink is used to mark breaks in Orenian dominion over relevant waterways. 

 

With this map then comes the formal proclamation of Holy Orenia’s undisputed dominion and the enforcement of both Imperial Law and the Maritime Registry Edict over Lake Helana, the Western Bog, Lake Milena, River Ruber’s Northern and Southern ends (recognising Rubern’s sovereignty over the portion that passes through its territory), River Roden to its mouth South Seas, River Klara up to the Sutican Hook and River Karov. Beyond the map is also applied in the vassal reaches of the Kingdom of Kaedrin and the Kingdom of Curon’s own North-Sea territories as well as the Empire’s respective holdings in the South-Seas surrounding the territories upon the isle of Korvassa.

 

Any and all acts of blockade, privateering, piracy and poisoning in the aforementioned waterways will be considered an act of hostility towards the Holy Orenian Empire and be met with appropriate force, to be made effective immediately upon the 10^th of the Sun’s Smile in the year of our Lord, 1730.
