AIS soldiers rejoicing after claiming the enemy war camp as their own.

The sun was setting as the retinue of AIS soldiers, led by Antonius Vilac, were completing their patrol ‘pon Orenian roads - slaughtering many men hailing from the province of Orenia. Upon their conclusive kill, Antonius had promptly received word from within the Orenian hold that a force of Orenians were sallying forth from the capital of Helena to face them on the field.

With that, Antonius prepared his men and calmly sat on the roads exiting Helena, awaiting the Orenian force to encounter him & his own force. Mostly Morsgradians, bolstered by members from all corners of the AIS

Perhaps the Orenians did not plan to encounter such a skilled force, but upon sight of Antonius & his forces they turned tail and retreated back down the road with little hesitation -  rushing into a nearby war camp and slamming the gates shut behind them; sighs of relief ensued about the Orenian forces. But they were for nought as Antonius found a way for his men to get inside.

It ended as any would expect, the forces of Antonius breached the war camp and what lay before them after the battle was scattered Orenian & Reiver bodies. As usual. To rejoice him and his soldiers lay about the campfire chugging ale and drink, celebrating their newly captured outpost together!

This marks the fourth sizable skirmish that had occurred on this stretch of roads, all of which had resulted in AIS victories.

Andrew Owyn continued to receive reports of his countrymen being slain by the AIS.  His journey would require him stay course for twelve more saint days, his ship full of his father’s banner-men to map the world at the bequest of the Emperor.  Would there be an Empire left to defend when he returned home?  He knew not.  Only time would show.

”Such an unsettling feeling,” remarked the young man.  “God be with us.”
