Appointment of a District Attorney for Helena

By edict of the Lord Mayor, Peter Baldwin d’Arkent, 1757

 

 As stated in HELENA MUNICIPAL REFORMATION EDICT, 1752. The city of Helena requires representation in the form of legal services, so by the power invested in as Lord Mayor, I hereby declare Friedrich Carrington as District Attorney for our beloved City of Helena. Friedrich Carrington is a well known lawyer within Helena. He has served in many cases within our great city, and it is my opinion that he will serve the city properly and justly, ensuring that our criminals are properly punished in accordance with Imperial and Municipal law.  As stated in the Edict his duties will be...

 

1.     The District Attorney has been charged with the responsibility of representing the City of Helena in legal affairs.                 
2.     The District Attorney has been charged with the prosecution of crimes both criminal and civil within the City of Helena.                 
3.     The District Attorney has been charged with ensuring the proper allocation of legal counsel to those accused of violating Imperial and municipal law.                 
4.     The District Attorney is hereby granted the power to staff his office, the Office of the District Attorney, in such a way as to provide assistance in his duties.
