As of this day I have written and declared my election bid for the duma seat of Alderman. It also appears that the incumbent, Osvald Barclay, shall be running as well. Why wouldn’t he run for re-election since he has most or perhaps all of the support in the Valwyck Pact? Most of those within that pact are feudalists like myself yet I think we need someone in Duma who WILL actually be a successful Alderman. Osvald as a Duma member has only passed one bill known as ‘The Representation of the People Act’ even though the bill was good it was his only bill that he had put forth and passed that is known. He may have supported other bills yet we need someone who will put forth bills on the duma floor. We need an Alderman that won’t sit in their chair to do absolutely nothing wasting those who voted for them for that very seat. We need an Alderman that’ll put forth bills and we need someone that’ll make Haense a better place in duma.

Platform

As Alderman I shall put forth the following Acts:

 - Statue of Remembrance Act -

This act will result in a statue of King Andrew III to be permanently built in the new section of the city for his great leadership during his time as King and for being the founder of the current city we live in today. The statue shall be decided where to be built by the Maer and High Steward of the city.

- The Hansetic Landscape Act -

This act shall be for the terrain of Haense from New Reza to Old Reza to be fixed and bring back nature to its land once more instead of looking like a war zone. Trees shall be planted, roads shall be made new, and flowers shall blossom once more.

- The Barbovic Royal Tomb Act -

This act is for the construction of a proper burial ground for the past King’s and Queen’s of Haense. A Bishop or Priest shall bless the ground before construction. This tomb will honor and give those that had to led us to a proper resting place.

“Even though the lack of bills is not commendable, the proposals you advertise are very uninspired and do nothing for the welfare of the people or the stability of Hanseti-Ruska. Perhaps consider other pastimes?” Karl Dönitz Markanz would state, clasping his hands politely as he sat across the table of him.

Osvald Barclay would respond:

First, I'd like to adress the campaign of an individual known as Stefan Vyronov.

It seems that the honourable candidate forgets the principles of a gentleman's election, leaving way for his profoundly incorrect propaganda, designed to make his weak argument to look stronger in the hopes of deceiving the electorate, for the man has both an unrealistic vision for bills in the Duma, while also establishing himself to be a weak writer. Mister Stefan's criticism initially adresses a lack of bills from the Duma legislators.

However, this is simply untrue, and the blabberer, who never shows himself in the Reza square, who never interacts with the people of Haense, who never ever set eyes on my work within the Duma. The spits abhorrent balderdash, without ever stepping in the Duma hall, or Reza's square for that matter, claims be more representative of the people. I would ask this individual one question.

During this term, which bill had the most relevant long term impact for the representation of the people? It was the Representation of the People Act. During the Voyage to Athera, the Duma was put on a de-jure standstill, in which legislative procedures were halted. Even Henrik Vanir recognises this fact, while the invisible Vyronov can comment on a lack of legislative procedure. Egregious folly! As Alderman, I have delivered every single promise that I have made. Representation of the commoners have been doubled, with thrice as many commoners running for my Tribune seat. A working relationship with the Centralist benches have emerged under my leadership, in which we have made away with the continuous bickering.

I have been working with my associate, Lady Maer Aleksandra for the prosperity of the people, while all you want to do is build a tomb, and another statue? How is that for the betterment of the common people? Are you even a real feudalist, or are you working to get the votes of the Royals, by simply erecting statues of them?

Stefan Vyronov responds:

You put words into my mouth by lying to the people of Haense by saying that their has been a lack of bills from the entire Duma yet I and have only mentioned yourself. Also, you mention that I never saw you at your work in Duma yet I watched the last Duma that was held. In fact, you did nothing but sit there while Lord Sigmar, a feudalist, and Mister Corbish, a centralist, argued for its entirety. While you were Alderman you have done nothing but that bill you mentioned that I did comment was a good bill. You may think none of my current bills I have came up with at first isn’t good yet it’s a start to something. The Hansetic Landscape Act would bring more of an appeal to Haense than have it look like a war zone.

Ser Osvald responds. "No, I refuted yout statement about my involvement and pointed at the external factors which impacted the Duma in it's entirety."

"No, you clearly were sleeping. I advocated for freedom of press in response to Lord Sigmar's bill, and pointed out the economical flaws in trying to publish a newspaper. I have also commented on the fact that a state-sponsored newspaper would only serve for a propaganda. Their entire argument revolved around my point, which Lord Sigmar can confirm."

"It is easy to tell the Maer to go build structures. Even a kid can write a bill asking people to go build structures. I don't see your architectural work, so I presume you will only ask people to improve the countryside, which doesn't really discern you at all from any other candidate."

"Very expedient of you to describe a bill which enfranchises the vast population of Hanseti-Ruska to represent their communities a 'good bill'. I'd rather make a historical bill, rather than ten bills which build statues and plant flowers."

“Unlike you I’d rather make and pass bills myself instead of keeping a down low in Duma and just work to vote for bills aren’t created by you. You’ve been in Duma for four years and only made a single bill. By your bill record that means you’re mostly a bench warmer that just votes ‘Ja’ or ‘Nae’. It’s time for change and that is what I am going after.”
