DOES GOD SPEAK?

A continuation of the thesis by Deacon Jude, Anno 1594 called “Does god talk?”

In “Does God Talk”, Deacon Jude argues that GOD seeks for us to not only open our ears, but our hearts as well. He furthermore states that GOD grants us guidelines of what is ‘good’ and what is ‘bad’, and implores us to not only hear them but to act on them.

Considering the recent publication of The Holy Scrolls by His Holiness James II, I find it long overdue to continue this long overlooked thesis by colleague Deacon Jude: who shall read this publication from the Seven Skies.

When one inquires about the hypothesis that GOD speaks, the official response is often to divert to the Holy Scrolls or to the Golden Bulls of the High Pontiff. They act as the de facto word of GOD, as they represent His Word through the properly established authorities that Humanity has adhered to since the start of its existence. But if GOD spoke in the Holy Scrolls: where is his voice now? In this thesis, I will argue that GOD has voluntarily decided not to speak to us directly.

In the Scroll of Virtue 1:1, GOD states: “Lo and attend, for I am the Lord GOD, and I am in the foremost part of heaven.“ The Holy Scrolls, gifted to Exalted Horen at the dawn of time, began with a declaration. One that asserted the position of GOD, in authority and in location. If the Scroll of Virtue contains seven canticles enumerating virtuous living, and this septalogue is given to Exalted Horen, why must it decide a portion of its substance to this declaration? What is the importance behind the declaration that the gifter of the Septalogue is in fact GOD?

From this we can conclude that the Exalted Horen did not know of the existence of GOD in the fashion that GOD liked, prior to him receiving the Septalogue. In the Scroll of Virtue 1:6, GOD furthermore states: “And I have given you life. I am your father, and the father of all things”. This declaration adds substance behind the declaration from 1:1 that GOD is in fact GOD, and further articulates his role behind the existence of Exalted Horen and the world that he lives in.

From the role and purpose that GOD asserts himself with towards Exalted Horen, he then established a decree in the Scroll of Virtue 1:8: “So I am the Most High, and in pursuit of My Virtue, I bid my faithful this: You shall not blaspheme My word, nor anything that is holy”. The structure that GOD applies to formulate His Word and His Bidding, can be distilled into: asserting identity, asserting purpose and then establishing doctrine. Deacon Judge also recognizes this underlying structure, for he recognizes that because it is His word we must listen to it. He however fails to acknowledge why it is His Word: how do we know, if GOD did not speak directly to humanity in 1594?

This brings us back to the Holy Scrolls and the Holy Church of the Canon as an institution. If we look at the genesis of the Scroll of Auspice, it is a prophecy given to Exalted Sigismund that we lay witness to. The difference between Exalted Horen and Exalted Sigismund however, is that the first heard GOD’s words: but the latter merely visualized GOD’s description in a state of mind. GOD had spoken His Word to one, but showed His Word to another. From this we can conclude that the method of delivery of GOD can change.

Considering GOD’s existence was not an established fact before his appearance to Exalted Horen, and considering how his methodology changed through time, we can establish two things: that His Methodology changed between Exalted Horen and Exalted Sigismund, as much as it can change between 1594 and 1760. Secondly, GOD had to establish himself before he could establish doctrine.

When Deacon Jude asked if God could speak in 1594, he spoke as a member of an established organization that represents His Word and His Bidding. The word ‘represent’, implies a delegation of a sort. Whereas GOD stood alone before an unknowing Exalted Horen, GOD then stood before a faithful flock adhering to the delegated authority of the Holy Church of the Canon.

The methodology of GOD is not linear, as we can see with the existence of the Scroll of Gospel.  In this Scroll, he does speak to Exalted Godfrey. This time, unlike his dialogue with Exalted Horen, he speaks in the third person. Instead of I, GOD refers to himself as GOD, as we can see in the Scroll of Gospel 3:20 “For when GOD bore witness to the bounty of His Immortals, He was pleased”. It is to our understanding that the Scroll of Gospel bore the intention of chronicling the History of the previous Exalted, Mankind and the prediction of a new Exalted. Not only does this establish that GOD knows the future, but it establishes a purpose of chronicling history for the Exalted Godfrey.

Understanding that GOD can speak in first person to an Exalted, in third person to an Exalted and through granting an image to an Exalted: the question arises of how GOD speaks now? When every scroll has a functionality pertaining to establishing GOD as an entity, formulating His Word and chronicling the past instances of His Word and His Creations, it becomes apparent that GOD only directly communicated with the Exalted with a function in mind.

These functions anno 1760 are embodied by the Holy Church of the Canon and His Holiness the High Pontiff, constructions that did not exist when GOD first spoke to Exalted Horen. If GOD only spoke with specific functions, and these functions are now carried out by His Holiness and His Holy Church of the Canon, then GOD has no reason to speak. When High Pontiff Daniel III or Everard V did not represent His Will, Humanity was able to independently establish their lack of representation and chronicle this in mankind’s History for us to know centuries later.

For His Word and His Bidding are properly represented on the mortal plane, by something that chronicles History and asserts His Presence and His Authority for him. GOD does not have to speak, because the Holy Church of the Canon speaks for him. Considering that He can speak, but does not speak today, reaffirms the hypothesis that He chose not to speak for the reasons stated above. He voluntarily decided not to speak because it would not carry a function as it did with the Scrolls and the Exalted.

"You mean Saint Jude! My question is this: does the Magisterial authority of the Church continue the task of revelation, or rather preserve and re define that complete revelation given her by the Prophets? Is the Church the inheritor or the interpreter of the Prophetic Office?
