TIKL is the newest and most advanced form of entertainment in the realm. A fighting league that pits the greatest combatants from major cities against each other in 3 v 3 practice sword combat. A regular season game consists of a best of 3 series taking place over the time span of one Saints day. Each team will face each other a minimum of two times each season, once in their home arena and once in an away arena ((Games will take place on Saturday + Sunday based on an agreed upon time by both sides. Both teams will play their best of 3 series two days in a row against each other Once at home once away.))

 

Klomp Club Rules/Joining the league.

1. To join the League a club must pay an initial starter’s fee of  500 minas and another 250 minas for each season after. 
2. All clubs must have an arena that can host spectators
3. Clubs must charge an entrance fee of 15 minas per spectator of that 15 minas TIKL will take 5.
4. Clubs can be owned by nations, cities or private citizens.
5. Nations at war with each other must ensure the safety of all athletes including ones from nations they are at war with. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the disbandment of the club and a 10 season ban from all TIKL events. 
6. Athletes are to be paid a minimum of 50 minas per season for starters and 25 minas per substitute. 
7. Athlete salaries and signing bonuses must be reported to TIKL and must be accurate each season
8. Clubs may sign players to a maximum contract of 3 seasons. If the player retires or is unable to play for reasons other than suspension while the contract is still in place clubs must still pay the salary 
9. Clubs may choose to pay their athletes more if they wish
10. Athletes DO NOT have to be from the nation or city the club is based in.
11. Trades between clubs for minas or players are allowed, but must be approved by the commissioner. 
12. Contracts for traded players are still valid when they join their new team and must be upheld.
13. A team must have 6 total athletes on their roster (3 Starters and 3 substitutes)
14. If a substitute plays more than three series they must be paid the minimum starter wage
15. Clubs are expected to supply their athletes with regulation practice swords ((MC wooden sword))
16. Failure for a club to follow any of these rules will result in a club-wide suspension from competition for a minimum of one year.
17. If your club is facing a suspension you must still pay upkeep fees and player salaries to avoid being disbanded.
18. The championship winning club will receive the Klomp Cup in addition to a sum of 1500 minas. (Subject to change based on the success of the league each season)

 

Player conduct rules

1. Cheap shots to the neck or groin ((Popping in MC)) will result in a fine worth 25% of the athlete’s salary and a suspension of 1 series.
2. Use of anything other than a regulated practice sword will result in a loss of the round and a 20 mina fine for repeat offenders
3.  Committing a crime while visiting a host city will result in a minimum 700 mina fine and a ban from competition for a minimum of 2 seasons based on the severity of the crime. 
4. Starting Athletes must show up to scheduled games unless they are physically unable to. It is also recommended to bring at least one substitute to each game in case of injury.
5. Illegal performance enhancing substance abuse ((Hacking)) will result in a permanent suspension from TIKL
6. Repeat offenders will be given double their previous suspension time

Commissioner - Zarug’Gorkil

The Commissioner oversees all day-to-day operations of the league and ensures everything is running smoothly. He is also in charge of keeping track of all player salaries and trades.

 

Director of Acquisitions  – NOW HIRING

The Director of Acquisitions is in charge of finding new clubs, maintaining relationships with club owners and collecting club fees. The DoA will receive 10% of TIKL profits during their tenure along with 10% of an aquisition they finalize.  ((DM me on discord JadenFromDairy#0145 to apply))

 

Director of Player Safety – NOW HIRING

The Director of Player Safety hands out fines to players and clubs who break the rules of the league and ensures all athletes are safe in the time between competing. The DoPS will receive 10% of TIKL profits during their tenure.  ((DM me on discord JadenFromDairy#0145 to apply))

 

Director of communications – TBA

The Director of communications has the job of getting fans into the stadium and engaging the fans with live commentary on the game The DoC will receive 10% of TIKL profits during their tenure.  ((DM me on discord JadenFromDairy#0145 to apply)) ((THIS POSITION IS FOR  SOMEONE WHO WILL STREAM ON TWITCH.))

I’ll admit there’s no way to really check who’s watching, but just know the entry fees are how the clubs and the league make money, without your entrance fees we wont be able to keep this going so if you find it entertaining and want to keep seeing it please pay.))

 

The Playoffs

At the end of each season the playoffs commence. The #1 Seed gets an automatic Bye into the finals while the other teams battle it out to see who can play them for the Klomp Cup and a prize of 1500 minas. If there is an uneven number of teams competing the last place team in the regular season will not make the playoffs to keep brackets consistent. A playoff bracket can only be a maximum size of 7 total teams (6 teams and the first place seed). In a situation where there is >7 teams only the top 7 will make it into the playoffs.
