Dǎo Monastery
literally meaning ‘Island Monastery’


The Dao Monastery is one that is rather simple. Its a tall tower with approximately four floors. The first and second are a test and then a tea area respectively. The first floor is a jumping area that requires a good bit of physical ability to get past. One must run, jump, hop, and climb on it to get into the second floor. Once there, you shall find a nice place to sit and a tea kettle in the middle of the table. The main thing about the monastery consists of the fact that it is mainly ran by chi monks. The monastery was founded only a mere 10 years ago and has since then been ran by a lone monk up until recently. As of current they are offering teachings to whichever wanderer comes in, although this isn’t a guaranteed path to obtaining such powers beyond that. Those who live here are peaceful and wish to maintain that. Consisting of generally two sects, that of sun and that of moon, they still manage to treat each other like brothers and sisters. All who actively reside here speak in a thick accented voice of the hou-zi.

Leadership & Ideals

Currently lead by Qing-Long and Jiangu Vincrute. Each teach sun and moon respectively and actively guide those under their wing in the ways of Hua-jiao  and on the road to enlightenment. Most who enter this temple will hear of such thing. Hua-jiao is a fairly simple mindset. This is created as a means to reach enlightenment and rid ones self of suffering. All very devout monks follow this idea, and as such is has been crowned the main religion of the Hou and the monastery currently.

Location
The monastery was built on the Aegrothond lands, intended as a means to make peace with their people and to teach of Hua-Jiao to their population. The island on which the monastery stands is the farthest back and covered in bamboo brought from distant lands. It grows wildly and expansions are made to the lands frequently. It is behind Aegrothond, Siramenor, and the father circle. Frequent visitors from these lands come and speak to the monks, but all are welcome inside the monastery!
