THIRD MAYORAL ELECTION OF OWYNSBURG

 

Attention all citizens of Kaedrin,

 

The term of the Municipal Government of Padraig O’Rourke, 1770-1774, has ended before its official end due to current Mayor Padraig O’Rourke stepping down and allowing a newcomer to take his place in serving as Mayor of Owynsburg. The shoes that Mayor Padraig O’Rourke has left behind will be hard to fill as during his tenure, he led a revitalizing effort to aid the ailing economy of the city, with acts such as the Miners Act of 1772, which reopened the old Ves Mines and the Housing Act of 1771 which made living in Kaedrin affordable. Mayor O’Rourke wishes to see what the next generation of Kaedrin Politicians can do for Kaedrin. Therefor in tandem as his last act as Mayor and his first act as Minister of Labor, Padraig O’Rourke calls the Third Mayoral Election of Owynsburg! (OOC: Registration shall run until Tues at 5pm EST, followed by a voting period from 5:30 EST Tues- 5:30 EST Wednesday.)

We furthermore establish the following requirements before candidates can partake in this election:

I). Must be sixteen years of age or older.

II). Must have a registered address in the Commonwealth of Kaedrin.

III). Must not be an incumbent to the Royal Cabinet, or a peer of the realm. 

IV). Must not have a criminal record. 

 

The tasks of the Mayor of Owynsburg are, in summary:

I). Running the municipal government of Owynsburg.

II). Generating income for the treasury of Owynsburg.

III). Maintaining the local cultural sector.

IV). Providing housing for residents and merchants.
