INTRODUCTION

The men who serve to protect His Imperial Majesty and his subjects often face trouble finding work due to injury and lack of opportunity. This act will protect our veterans and ensure they can maintain a suitable living.

 

SECTION I: ON DEFINING A VETERAN

A person is defined as a veteran if they meet all of the following criteria:

  1. Serving a total of twenty combined years in any of the following organizations:

    1. Imperial Service Army

    2. Haense Royal Army

    3. Imperial Constabulary

  2. Serving during a period of armed combat against another state OR Receiving a life altering injury in the course of their duties as determined by the Secretary of Treasury

  3. Not currently serving in any role with any of the organizations listed in section 1, subsection 1

 

SECTION II: ON DETERMINING THE PENSION

A pension is determined in the following way:

  1. Averaging the last three years of a veteran’s salary

  2. Taking 25% of that number to arrive at their yearly pension

 

SECTION III: ON DURATION OF THE PENSION

A pension shall be paid yearly until any of the following criteria are met:

  1. Receiving twenty years of pension payments

  2. Dying or being legally declared dead by a court

SECTION IV: ON ADMINISTERING THE PENSION

  1. The administration of all matters related to pensions shall be overseen by the office of the Secretary of the Treasury. 

  2. The Secretary of War is duly authorized to edit Section I, subsection 1 at their discretion and without further approval from the House of Commons.

Shady_Tales would breathe heavily and smile upon seeing the signed veteran’s act. After half a decade of service under his belt, he would finally receive some tiger balm for the ‘pop’ in his right hand from years of clicking for the glorious empire.

Kariv quietly wonders why the empire is funding it’s veterans of past wars, instead of spending money to buy kit for the soldiers of the current one. Perhaps the ways of these civilized humans are far too much for his 380 year old, uncivilized barbaric mind...
