"I, Anne Gardner of clan Cottonwood, Warden of the Sea, Captain of the Spicy Shrimp, am writing this as a formal challenge to the current sheriff, Meemaw for her position. Meemaw, I have nothing against you, and you have been an outstanding sheriff, but I feel it is about time someone younger takes over keeping the village safe. I wish to be that someone, as I have a deep love for this village's people, and a genuine want to keep my kin safe.

Perry sighs as he hears of the news, "I wan' a new Sheriff, yes, 'owever isn'' t'is Anne lass improper? Canno' be allowin' an improper ter punish improperness in t'e village." He huffs, then meanders back into his burrow to make some more Cactus Green.

After nearly a year, one old halfling woman finally hobbled her way past the notice board, the granny's movement heavily leaning on her iconic cane to assist her walking. The oldest Applebottom's worn features would scrunch, and elderly kind yet harsh resting visage morphing into an expression of reproach. 

"Teh fock es dis abot? Whoi'd we need eh new sheriff, Oi'm roight es rain!"

Meemaw Applebottom turned to walk away, and she was infact right as rain, in the sense that she walked at a 45 degree angle from the ground. That couldn't be a good sign... could it? As she hummed back to her burrow, at a rather slow pace, one could hear the crackle and pop of a hip that was trying it's best, knox dammit.
