Orc Shouter:

There be a Orc hut building Competition That the Rex is Holding!

You shall bring your designs and layouts to Yuzgartan Yaghy'Gorkil. and he well show it to the Rex to decide on the winner!

First place well receive 5000 mina

Second Place well receive 3000 mina

third place well receive 1000 mina

(Build them in your Single player world and put your screenshots here)

(advice should look warlike (blocks used: stone bricks the new ones, Clay blocks, Sand, Red wool, Orange wool, Gray Wool, all types of wood, Iron bars, Fences)

First attempt at a large and small tent-like structure. I'll be building more, so let me know what y'all like and dislike so I can tweak things as I go. The large tent has an unlit fireplace in the center, when I lit it in single-player it burnt down half my work, but it should be fine in SMP.

Orcish Meeting Tent

Materials

  • Red Wool
  • Orange Wool
  • Pine Wood
  • Stone Bricks
  • Stone Brick Slabs
  • Netherrack
  • Iron Bars
  • Sand
  • Redstone Torches
  • Clay

Dis be me's concept for Orcish meeting hut.

Has nomadic feel to it; simple yet effective.

Roof be red like blood, show us be strong; mighty.

All sit on cosy mats.

Redstone torches for bit of light; also look nice.

Toasty fire make hut warm and give lots of light.

Also good to burn incense for spirits; please da spirits.

Hole in roof; let smokes out.

Put trapdoor on top; stop rain.

Orcish Guard Tower

  • Sandstone

Dis be me's concept for Krughai guard tower.

Tried to go for a military theme; strong and uninviting.

Again, using red wool for the roof; red like blood, Orcs like blood!

Alrighty! My creation is designed as a medium sized Orc shop, but could easily be converted into a home. Being one of the few who earned the "Diplomat" title in WoW, I got well acquainted (waaayy too acquainted) with the Mag'har orcs and their buildings, one of which you linked to. I really love this style. Well, here it goes:

Frontal view. The shop has a stall in the front, essentially. There are wooden supports along the sides. I know some will not like my Mag'har-ish terraces on the sides of the upperfloor, so I also made a cleaner version:

The actual stall. I used the iron bars a whole lot. The stall has a nice wall, chests, and furnaces.

On the other side of that wall is a well sized, multi-purpose room. I love the look of the iron bar windows and the iron bar support columns. I used it as a storage room here:

Going upstairs, we find this room. The domes are based off of the WoW buildings. There is a firepit in the center, currently with a top over it to avoid burning. This can be removed, or the whole pit can be filled for extra floor space.

Again, the windows, or course. I put beds and such, but it is also a multi-purpose room.

A small opening for the smoke. The hatch is there to close when rain comes.

And that's all! I hope you like my design, and perhaps I'll build even more soon.

Dis iz da new outpost, it haz a towa an' a big hut fo' livin' in. Dese tentflaps alllows ju ta shoot out da door. And does stone tingies on da towa allows ju to protect yourself from da enemies shootas! If ju want ju can replace da wool wit wood or stone, It would work about da same. Bonies can't send mosters in dere with da tent flaps shut. And dere is enuf bedz for 8 orks!

Grumog also make new hut! Can fitz lot into it, even dough it iz tiny! I fitz da furnaces and da craftin' stof in da stairs, deh trapdoors replace da doors to make it smaller!

((OCC: IGN is deavs, IC name is Grumog. Sorry about the hundreds of edits, I was just trying to get the pictures to work.))

I would like it more if the rood was made of other materials wool?

Here's a medium-sized tent-like structure. Same style, but I prefer the look of this to my initial structures. Then I took the roof design and made it into a tent, just because I liked the red wool and thought it looked a little more tent-like and less housy.
