Having studied the Dark Elf Clans of Stygian Hollow..
Coming upon the Dark Elf clans of Stygian Hollow, the Imperial Elves of the Alpine had learned of a tragic gap in their cultural heritage. The Art of Dark Elven ‘fisticuffs’. As a scholar, the House Scion Minuvas Melphestaus spent some time learning from the Mali’Ker of Stygian Hollow and some of their cultural ways.

He had learned, for example, that a bout of fighting is a most raucous way one may determine a future Ker mate - and show signs of mutual friendship and respect amongst peers. Not all of the ancient traditions are to be admired, the use of acid baths to cast the ‘impure’ is one that comes to mind, but it could not be helped that the Ker of the family showed greater physical aptitude than other members of the community and needed an outlet. Asking Hieran Livarai De Melphestaus, the senior Ker among the community, to organize this has resulted in the ancient ways of Ker combatives with the modern charm of Imperial revelry. An ongoing brawl between two Elves

A new outlet of excitement...
It is therefore with great pleasure that the Imperial Elves of the Alpine do offer for the Empire greater, the ‘Ker Fisticuffs’ association. The art of the brawl, brought to the Empire from Mali’Ker traditions with the enhanced class and safety precautions one can expect from Imperial living.

These events shall be held weekly (OOC: Thursdays at 2:00 PM EST / 2000 CEST) by the resident Ker of the community. Participation is not restricted to Dark Elven residents of the Empire, but any who believe they believe they stand a chance in the pit.

Taverns are located en route to the community, two Elven run establishments, within each end of the Alpine. Food and drink is to be provided at future events, with family butler "Chadwick Hemmington" serving guests (Chadwick has served drinks both at hole in the wall establishments, as well as studying the intricate knife and fork placement of fine establishments for over 50 years - catering to multiple audiences).

In showing respect to the clans of Stygian Hollow, the champion of Ker Fisticuffs shall be sent to compete in events at Stygian Hollow - whose clan leader, Zirath R’lkarth has proven a cultural guide to our Mali’Ker community - a welcome reprieve from the normal slander Imperial Elves have long been subjected to both by their Human hosts, and the foreign Elven principalities. We hope this relationship serves as an example of how the Elders of our long cultures can teach us and mentor us - without trying to subvert our culture.

A champion is chosen...The current reigning champion was chosen from amongst the fighting, Ilith “The Red Fury” Melphestaus. A prize of 10 marks was awarded for her victory, and she shall be sent as Champion to compete in the Stygian Hollow event should it occur within the next year.

Custom items and greater prizes are already being developed for the next Fisticuffs event.

Flemius, a professional boxer and winner of the boxing tournament at the Stygian Hollow, sees another community of boxing elves who might perhaps catch his hands one of these days... He begins to hum a tune under his breath as he heads off to train once more!
