Werew0lf 12071 Popular Post Share Posted October 19, 2021 XAN’S PROPHECY The Impending Doom TO THE VALIANT It was built into the vast mountain, jagged iron and volcanic rock hurdling vitriol. A monumental fortress, shaped to spread their evil ideology. I see the Dark Saint on top of his tower, drawn by a lidless eye. He is a statue of thought and imagination, no longer bearing the soul of his father, the Accursed. The horizons are blocked with great wings of drakes and vile creatures, staring upon their indomitable land. They are coming to slaughter and acclaim Humanity and its’ sovereign. Owyn is chained in the clouds, and the Seven Skies tumbles upon the treacherous roar of the Archdrakaar. I see the ground split, and the ignoble brood of the Sunless begin their dark march. It is commanded by the soil of Dragur and his skeletal terror. It was built into the vast mountain, refined gold and lush waterfalls raining courage. A formidable tower, crested by the barren sun. Gleaming about, it turns and shifts, unable to conquer. I see the Sun on top of His tower, showering His faithful with courage and justice. Stallions of glimmering white trudge through the golden path, whence light meets dark, and the middle is spelled crimson by an unending war. And then He came from the clouds, splitting the ephemeral world. The fierce lion pounces, and His claws reign superior. The battle of the Sun and the death of the Void. A war is coming. Or it has ended, and we have lost. To the world, I have seen Darkness and I have seen Light. The Sun is White for I am no steed of Xan. I will join our Sunlit Lord as an endless digit of humility and disgust. I am a sheep and He is a lion. I am a sheep for Him to feast. I wish to see the world cast by the golden Sun. I wish to see the world cast by the proverbial King. I wish to see the spear that will betray the Accursed. I wish to see the unity of brothers and sisters, for all should be under one holy creed. A division amongst those who share the same purpose. A squabble of knights under one banner. You faithful who are uncaring of mortal politics. You faithful who discard mortal vices. And so then He may present you with His bounty. Show Him worth. I apologize. Joan de Bar, Author of the Credo of Xan [!] The corpse of Joan de Bar is found somewhere near the Kingdom of Haense. He is hung from a tree, likely some form of suicide. He has no eyes, likely removed prior to suicide. He has no tongue, likely removed prior to suicide. A ring of white and gold is surrounding the tree in which he dies, a symbol of unity. There is an underlying message by the symbolism of death.
Valannor 6347 Share Posted October 19, 2021 Would that Lady o' Silver come 'cross the missive, and the corpse of he whom authored it, a frown would cross her guise; snow crunched underfoot, her gaze inclined upwards to gaze at that which hung from the Hangman's Tree. A deal of time would be spent to free the dead man from his bonds, the carcass falling to the forest floor with a whump. He would be given an honored rest, cast in pyre and remembered by means of a statue dedicated to his likeness within the halls of His Chosen. "You came far to deliver us such tidings, brother; but now, you must rest... Let them come. This land will be their graveyard."
KBR 1484 Share Posted October 20, 2021 Guiseppe de Bar went about his daily business none the wiser that his long, long lost cousin had perished in such a way.
