Upon the morning of her father's abdication, Amadie Marléne Pruvia felt her world crash upon her. The responsibilities to come of a youthful girl, feeling as if her childhood was ruin, and she had to extend her childish hands into that of adulthood, reaching at something that no child ever should. After her short fingers cascading through the usual crescendos of scales and practices of her piano, her lessons flew out of her mind to be replaced by her father's absence. A feeling of being lost had consumed her, as the man she looked up to had now done what she wanted to do - go into the church, a man always of scripture.

"Oui... I've been reading the scrolls with Papa." Amadie's mind ran towards her intimate stroll with her mother, where they discussed this briefly.

"And what have you made of it?" Claude had queried with the girl, with Amadie's reply being very similar to the events of her father's priestly adornment.

"I've learned a lot about what priests and acolytes do!"

-----

The conversation soon bled into her thoughts - she knew of what her father's duties were, as he was the one who taught her. With her lips taut in contemplation, and her eyes wandering into another world of Canonism and her father, she felt torn between the two. Though, with the departure of the Viscount, she had to rise to the occasion.

With Amadie's mother being Regent Viscountess, and her own position being the rightful Viscountess, she felt the need to sort out her home and get the servants orderly in preparation for her and her mother's duel-ruling. With servants being ushered to Amadie's quarters, they prepared her elongated hair and her most suitable clothing. The knitting of the corset, and the straining of a brush sweeping through awfully curly hair. Amadie caught glimpse of little Sophie, peeking through the picture that hung on the other side of her wardrobe.

"Sophie, be a bonne fille and gather the servants." Amadie knew that one of her many maids that crowded the room could have done this, yet she found pride in ordering around the unorderly Sophie.

Finally, with each servant now aligned dutifully in her purple parlor, Amadie came through the doors. Her mother had an inquisitive look to her features, with her sisters, Anastasie, Jeanne and Sophie at the flank of Claude. Amadie made her roundabout through the room, eyeing her servants of the Preussens household, examining their ranks and finding it to be less than satisfactory. She then began, standing with high posture to address her faithful staff.

"My father has abdicated." The girl's voice was quiet, almost a murmur, and Claude gave her a fiery glare that spoke 'If you're going to do an address, you might as well speak a bit louder.' In which Amadie complied, even with melancholy emotions swirling her speech.
"My father has abdicated, and that means that my Maman will be the Lady of the house, along with myself." Amadie's words were polite, yet her face betrayed every emotion, with a countenance of static for a business-like appearance.
"My first order is to tailor my Pap a priestly robe. Use my best silks and threads, and be quick so I can make my father proud, and show him that he is as much as my father as he was my Viscount." Upon her words, Amadie knew that she couldn't continue her declaration. She had much more to tell her servants, yet the words got caught in her throat along with the undying love she had for her worldly father.

"Come on now, get to it!" Amadie's emotions, although depressing, did not show in her face. She found herself to be irate when solemn, and she hated that the staff stood around cluelessly. She could tell in the faces of every person in the room, from her mother to her staff, that they had pity for the girl. She despised their pity-stricken visages, and her face turned red to have let them all witness her weakness as a Viscountess.

Hurriedly the girl whisked out of the room, her layers of skirts tagging along and catching in the velocity of her departure. She swept up the large staircase, her eyes pricking with tears. Her hands extended out toward the doors, pushing them open with all her girlish force, until she made it to her quarters, locking herself away from the family and the world outside.

The pressure of a Viscountess had begun.

"She is not ready yet."

Claude's bantam whisper swept the air following her daughter's scrambled getaway, her embittered tone forming the thorn in the halls of the Preussens. Remitting a terse look towards the attending audience of servants and Pruvian gentlefolk, the madame brought her hand upwards to exact a singular fearsome snap into the air, following with her typical unforgiving bark: "You heard your Viscountess. Get to it!"

Sophie skips around the house in search of the Provins serving staff, though she had many thoughts of her own in relation to her father’s abdication.

Within the girl's mind raced thoughts at a mile a minute, the only sign of such a rushing train of thought were her furrowed brows and nervous countenance. Sophie paused before her other sister's room, lifting a tight fist to knock thrice upon the door before swiftly pulling her hand to rest within her other as her nervous disposition took hold once more. Behind her the servants she had beckoned moments prior run to the Viscountess Provins' room to prepare her for her very first day as Viscountess.

Whilst the late Viscount had left Provins for the Imperial Capital, his staff kept loyalty to him and were quickly to inform him about Amadie's orders. The man proudly smiled then proceeded to light few candles and pray for the good of his children and their futures.
