livrose 1594 Share Posted December 5, 2021 LIGHTING OF THE TUVMAS TREE Spoiler [!] An illustration of a Haeseni family’s private Tuvmas Tree, taking from a book on the study of Tuvmas itself. Tuvmas, the celebrated holiday of St. Tobias, has begun to sweep the streets of Karosgrad. Children hum traditional ballads under their breath, as our snowy climate drops to even colder levels. Lights appear in windows, casting a faint glow on the streets outside. From scraping sleds and skates, to the very smell of Tuvmas approaching: spices and apple… strong Carrion. Ah! It’s that time of year. St. Tobias: the Patron Saint of Merchants, Comets, but more importantly Wealth and Charity, marks the beginning of a season of giving. The Lighting of the Tuvmas Tree is one of the first blessed events of the season, leading up until St Tobias’ rumoured return on Tuvmas Eve with his goblins, to give the good Canonist children their presents. In the very centre of the square a tree has been displayed- hung upon it, baubles and string. Children will hang their own ribbons and ornaments on the lower branches of the tree. At the topmost point of the Tuvmas spectacle lies a decorative star, shining like a beacon in the darkness of eve. To guide Haensemen home. While Tuvmas ballads are sung, a small child - elected by His or Her Royal Majesty - will be lifted, to place the centrepiece of the star. From the Basilica, our priests will bless this night, and the Tuvmas Tree’s candles will be lit! If ever they are extinguished thereafter, it shall ring bad luck throughout the Kingdom. Signed, Her Royal Majesty, Emma Karenina, Queen-Consort of Hanseti-Ruska Spoiler (OOC) Friday December 10th Karosgrad's Square 5pm EST
seannie 7443 Share Posted December 5, 2021 Maxim enjoys himself the jolly and holly Tuvmas festivities of the season throughout Haense, especially anticipating the coming lighting of the Tuvmas tree in the center of Karosgrad - blissfully ignoring the Orenian implosion to the south as he pops open another chocolate from his advent calendar.
