    To celebrate the fair weather and all that the sea-side has provided for the Savoyards, the court of Savoy is to host the celebration of Maritime Merriment. The festivities will consist of food, drinks, and enjoying the summer sands. Guests are invited to wear their favorite summertime swimwear to partake in the oceanside activities. This includes a small sailing area, and wave-riding competition. There will be areas around the beach that will be for those that wish to stay upon dry land, such as a picnic area and the swimwear judging competition. This will be held beside the sea to the west of the San Luciano bridge, on the beach past the farms.

TIMETABLE AND ACTIVITIES

Wave-riding and Swimming
    The day will be started with the wave-riding competition and casual relaxing within the ocean. The judges will be judging the best wave-rider for a prize of them to win 100 minae! 

 

Rowboat Sailing
    After the waves have calmed down, there will be a quiet area for couples and singles alike to take a rowboat out upon the Savoyard Shores to watch the clouds roll on by. Each rowboat is equipped with snacks and wine for their trip.

 

Picnic & Swimwear Competition
    The day will then end with a picnic of grilled fish, summer vegetables, and wines served alongside other picnic foods. During the picnic there will be a swimwear competition for who has the most fashionable swimwear.

DRESS CODE

Should one wish to attend the beach party, please remember to follow the dress code. If found in violation of the dress code, you will swiftly be escorted away from the beach.
 
MEN
Men over the age of 15 will be allowed to attend shirtless, or with an undershirt.
Boys under the age of 15 must attend with their undershirt on.
Swim trousers are to be no longer or shorter than one's knees.
Men must keep their distance from a woman baring her shoulders (OOC: 2-3 blocks away).
 
WOMEN
Women of all ages will be required to wear a one-piece and a cover-up skirt.
Skirts are to end just above the feet, and can be no shorter than that.
Similar to men, Women must keep their distance from a man bearing his chest. (OOC: 2-3 blocks away).
Once out of the water, it is recommended that women put on a shawl or a towel over their shoulders.

Proclaimed the Count of Niseep on hearing news of the event and an enthusiastic new description of 'wave-riding' from one of the particularly longer haired servant boys in Gereon's Hold, who carried with him the ripe smell of seawater and cactus green. Hastily, Lucien commissioned his alchemists to produce a new surf wax formula.

Something in landgravine seemed to be overjoyed, and her face seemed to brighten up entirely at the mere mention of a seaside beach party.  Her eyes swivelled to the seaside admiring its beauty in its blue waves. As she stared, she gulped, going to find her husband to whisper in his ear. “Dear...I don’t recall knowing  how to swim?”
