LET IT BE KNOWN BEFORE ALL THE KONGZEM

That for these past years, August of House Barclay has served the Haeseni Crown as a Squire of the Knight's Table under the tutelage of Ser Abraham the Faithful. Throughout these years of service and training, Squire August has walked the Path of the Bogatyr and completed the following Trials:

  • The Trial of Slavomir: As all Squires must, Squire August has undertaken the Trial of the 1st Bogatyr - the Trial of the Warrior - in which he demonstrated before all the Knight's Table his ability with weapons and upon horseback. No doubts lingered in the minds of the Table as to whether Squire August had the skill to be a Knight.

  • The Trial of Stanislaw: Squire August has endured the Trial of the 2nd Bogatyr - the Trial of Fortune - by carrying the Scabbard of Stanislaw, cursing him with foul luck, into the Fakhr Oasis, where he proved that his progress as a Squire thus far was not the product of luck by facing a pack of desert jackals.

  • The Trial of Ratibor: In honour of the 7th Bogatyr, Squire August completed the Trial of Faith, in which he dedicated his zealous devotion to Godani by embarking into the craggy volcanoes behind Norland and Krugmar, finding a shrine to the Azdrazi, and destroying it.

With these Trials completed, Squire August made the pilgrimage to the ruins of Krusev, wherein he sought out the Oracle of Maenvestiyaeo who reads the threads of fate. When Squire August came before him, the Oracle foretold that, to become a Knight, the Barclay Squire must delve into the crypt of Krusev itself and single-handedly dispatch a pack of viscous wolves who had made it their den. Only once the Squire has, without aid, slain the wolf pack with the skills and wit befitting a true warrior of the Knight's Table, shall be come before King Sigismund III and be dubbed a Knight.

May Godani keep you, August Barclay.
