GRAND REOPENING OF THE FALCON’S OVERPASS TAVERN & INN

Here ye, here ye… 

 

The Falcon’s Overpass cordially invites all citizens of Providence and the Orenian Empire to the Grand Reopening of the Falcon’s Overpass Tavern & Inn. The masters of the Overpass have seen fit to present to the public displays of their great affairs. Our great city has become a jewel of culture, military and economy. Unrivaled artisans craft unique pieces while titans of industry compel new frontiers of innovation. Masterful wordsmiths walk alongside expert masons, setting our mark into history with stone and ink. 

 

The Overpass tavern, alongside its tavern, has created a series of events for the denizens in the tavern’s great expanse. Drinks will be free for Imperial soldiers, Ferrymen, Blackvale, and the Sons of Nagg in celebration of the great victory of His Majesty, and the great cultural revival that is to ensue.

 

EVENTS

 

DRINKING COMPETITION

 

All participants in this competition will be competing with each other to see who can handle their liquor the best! The name of the game is drink until the last one standing. It is shot for shot, beer for beer until there is only one lucky (and stoic) victor. The winner shall be decided by our tavernkeeps and shall win a cash prize of 50 minas as well as free drinks for the next Saint’s week.

 

ARTISAN COMPETITION

 

A participant in this competition will create any artistic piece they deem alluring to enter in this competition. Each piece will be judged by the Lord Prefect, Henry Constanz. The winner will be awarded the Ruby Necklace of Providence.

 

POETRY COMPETITION

 

A participant in this competition will create an original poem and perform them. The audience shall announce who has made the best poem at the end of the competition. The winner shall be awarded the title of ‘Poet Extraordinaire’ by the Prefect, given a cash prize of fifty minas and shall be invited to perform an original poem for the Crown.

 

BAR BASH

To discourage any bar fighting the first person to commence (and win) a bar bash at the reopening shall be given the epithet ‘the Quarrelsome’. 

 

RECRUITMENT

 

The Falcon’s Overpass continues to look for more staff! The tavern welcomes all without respite, be it new or old, or from far across Almaris. Lodging and pay will be provided to any that seek employment. Send a letter to Chief Taverneer Rainalyn Draskovic @Rainalyn, Vincente Falcone @Chenn or Florian de Conti @Kaii.

Henry Constanz would read the letter, his participation as a judge in the tavern reopening coming as a small surprise to the man, he'd pen a letter excitedly, "Dear Tavern Manager Florian de Conti, I graciously accept your offer to judge the art contest at the Falcon's Overpass Grand Reopen. I look forward to the merriment that is to come!" @Kaii
