HeyitsNano 1582 Share Posted March 28, 2022 FIRST ELECTION CYCLE OF THE NEW PROVIDENCE PREFECTURAL ALDERMEN 13th of Harren's Folly, 1865 Having a voice in governance, as a right of the people, has long been a staple of Orenian society. With the reformation of the New Providence Prefecture, ensuring the masses have a guaranteed medium to share and contribute their ideas has continued to be a priority. In recognition of such, two elected Alderman seats were created within the Prefectural Cabinet. One Aldermen position is solely to be held by a non-noble, while the other may be either of common or noble status. They are tasked with the following: ☆ To represent the people by whom they were elected, ☆ To bring forth legislative ordinances pertaining to the governance of the municipality of New Providence ☆ To hold portfolios of responsibility issued to them by mutual agreement of the Prefect-Castellan and the Prefect-Magistrate Accordingly, the Prefect-Magistrate by virtue of Our August Crown is bestowed the responsibility to administer free and fair city elections. The Prefecture sees fit to exercise its right and announce the beginning of a new election cycle. A prospective candidate for the New Providence Aldermen must meet the following qualifications: At least eighteen years of age. In good legal standing. Reside on a property within New Providence Should a candidate meet such criteria, the following form must be filled by the prospective candidate. (Reply to this thread) 1.
