First Syndesi Feriae of Balian

The Palati Monterosa happily reiterates that the Syndesi Feriae, or Connection Festival, will commence next year! Some may be wondering what will occur or what to wear, so the Palace offers guidance and will explain what exactly is needed for preparation and what to expect. As this is the first Syndesi Feriae for Balian, we hope that all will enjoy the prepared events! We ask that all who participate or spectate to be kind; leave all gossip to the columns! 

 

In Charge  

There have been many changes throughout the Palati Monterosa regarding the leadership. For this season of the Syndesi Feriae, the Governess, Lady Chamberlain, and Princess Imperial will be in charge of all details. 

 

Newly appointed, Lady Ember Munnel is the current Governess of the Palace. Like most of the residents in Balian, she was born in Oren. Even though she lacked Palace occupations before, her dedication and hard work proved that she was deemed worthy for such a position. Ember Munnel also currently holds the heirship to house Munnel. 

 

Recently promoted, Lady Johanne Vuiller has been appointed to the position of Lady Chamberlain. She has worked within the Palace for many years under the last Governess and plans to continue! With her current position, she is able to further use her influence to keep her good standing with the workers and peers. 

 

Her Highness, Lady Costantia is the first Princess Imperia of Balian. As the eldest daughter of the Duchess, she will not only be participating in the Syndesi Feriae, but shall be assisting the Palace Staff. Lady Costantia will be working closely among the Palace Courts as this season continues and is happily able to assist anyone that comes to her for anything.

 

Equality

There have been discussions whether it is fair that only ladies are to present themselves to Balian. Palati Monterosa has decided that all will be participating by presenting themselves to the court. This may change in the future, yet this is the current rule.

 

All who participate must follow this rule, rather than ignore it simply! 

 

Apparel

The outfit of those who participate is critical. If one were to adorn garments of plain color or lack-luster, how would it catch the eye of the Governess or those in the room? All bachelors are asked to wear something colorful, yet not over the top. The debutantes shall wear colors that represent their households, along with any family heirlooms that they wish to show off. 

 

Presentations

To those who are unaware of the old customs of the older seasons from the Empire, presentations are when the individual walks down the aisle to present themselves to the court. To reiterate, the bachelors and debutantes will be walking down the aisle, not just the ladies. Once those on the list finish their presentations, those in charge will announce the Desert’s Blossom and the Desert’s Blaze, which will be the two most noticeable gentleman and lady. 

 

Events

Within this one grand Seasonal Event, the Palace will host numerous events to give a one in a lifetime experience social season. From dances to classes, to even trips outside the walls. The Syndesi Feriae holds all kinds of new and fun experiences, one that will stay in the minds of the generation before us. This is the itinerary. . .

 

The Deep Cold

The bachelors and debutantes will learn how to walk down the aisle for their introductions, along with basic etiquette.

Malin’s Welcome

The Feast of Fools will be an ALL day event! Foolish and just casual things will occur throughout the day for all to enjoy. Throughout the mini events of this Feast of Fools will be a costume contest! Who shall wear the outfit to please the judge the most?

The First Seed

A Baking Class shall be  Hosted by our [Spider & Emi] where the guest shall learn how to create all kinds of treats, Afterwards a picnic shall be held to try these baked treats and allow more interactions between the guest and participants. The same day a Class held by the De Rosius Family, will teach our guest and Participants the languistics of Aurevuange.

The Grand Harvest 

Deserts are very hot all the time, which is why there shall be an outing! The group will travel to a certain spot in the desert to a beautiful lake and then have a campfire under the night sky.

The Sun’s Smile

We all love expressing ourselves through different methods, writing poems and singing songs, sometimes even drawing. Our very own [Bees Character] shall be hosting the Art class within the Palace. Guests can come and express their thoughts, emotions and ideas through the simple brush and ink of art!

 

The Queen Bee Hunt will also occur. The Queen Bee Hunt is an event that groups the gentlemen and ladies together to venture out into the deserts for specific items requested while being tied together. Everyone must learn teamwork! A feast will be held afterwards.

The Amber Cold

Like many traditions, we must stop and enjoy life with a good drink, let us sit down and break bread and drink mead together in an entertaining Tavern night in our own establishment. Guests may come and enjoy time with their friends and families within this event.

The Deep Cold 

From the beginning of time, man rose through power by the show of strength, Man also showed that fighting is an entertaining and thrilling sport, the Aima Association of Balian, is hosting a tourney for the Sydnesi Feriae. Come and see our fighters show the mass strength which they hold within their own mighty wills.

Snow’s Maiden 

It's never a perfect time to work together on something. It is true what many say, working together unites people to complete a goal, that goal could be anything from building something to simple arts and crafts.  Our own Palace shall host a moment to create gifts of all kinds, for family members and friends, or even those of intreast!

 

Afterwards a round of Croquette shall be hosted, our guests may join and have a fun experience with their friends and loved ones!

Malin’s Welcome 

Finally, after the season comes to a close, is the final ball which will be an enchanting moment for all who attend. Our past historical moments will all come forth into this single day. We hope that all guests and participants come to this final ball to make the long lasting memories come to a close.
