PREAMBLE

With the foundation of the Viceroyalty of Hyspia, the protection of our brand new state must be protected with the utmost care. Whether it be hostile neighbors, internal threats, or other challenges posed to our people, the Viceroyalty requires a strong and organized band of loyal Hyspian men and women capable of defending against such threats. Therefore, it is the honor and privilege of Our Viceroyal Crown to decree the creation of the Viceroyal Hyspian Army.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Being the first line of defense for the Viceroyalty of Hyspia, the Army is tasked with defending against all outside threats. They are also responsible for the policing and enforcement of Viceroyal laws as is dictated in the Lex Hyspia, and are permitted to take suspected criminals into custody.

 

The Viceroyal Hyspian Army is also tasked with waging war on behalf of the Viceroyalty, whether it be in defense or offense. However, no member of the Viceroyal Army may take up arms against neutral or allied forces without orders from a superior officer. 

 

The Viceroyal Army is also tasked with patrolling and maintaining the borders of the Viceroyalty of Hyspia. It is expected that members of the Army, especially senior officers, should organize patrols in order to ensure the safety of Hyspia’s borders.

RANK STRUCTURE:

The Capitan

The Capitan is the main commander of the Army, second only to the Viceroy himself. It is the job of the Capitan to handle promotions, appoint sergeants and manage the general affairs of the army as a whole.

 

The Sergeants

The Sergeants are the second-in-commands of the army and are the primary officers. They have the ability to organize patrols, trainings, and oversee other troop activities. They may promote members of the army, but only with the consent of the Capitan.

 

The Footmen

The Footmen are the general soldiers of the army. They partake in patrols, the defense of the city, and any tasks required of them by the officers and government of the Viceroyalty.

 

The Recruits

The starting point of any new member. Recruits are newly-oathed members that have just began their career within the Viceroyal Hyspian Army.
