With the commencement of the Social Season of 1882, it is necessary to appreciate a woman’s youth and maidenhood, and all the work required to maintain such. Though a young lady’s main goal should be to achieve a marriage and be accepted at her debut, an eve where she should relax amongst her peers is mandatory to ease the stress one may suffer during Astercalia. Women of all ages, debutantes or not, nobility and peasants alike are encouraged to join in the Damsel’s Day festivities– but under no circumstances shall men or Acreans enter.

 

Women from all realms that are allies of Oren, or in a neutral state, are also welcomed to attend– this includes Celia’nor and Haense.

PROGRAM OF EVENTS

 

I. A LADY’S WORD OF ADVICE

To Initiate the event, several guest speakers– particularly notable, older women of our Orenian society– shall be invited to speak and advise the new generation of young ladies that are coming of age. These guest speakers shall be announced the day of the event.

 

II. ARTS AND CRAFTS

To keep the attendees entertained, there shall be various arts and crafts displays. Flower crown making and basket weaving is anticipated to be the most popular activity. 

 

III. ART COMPETITION

To finalize the day of festivities, an art competition shall be set in place. All submissions shall be posted and displayed so all citizens may vote on the winner. The individual who has gathered the most votes, two days after the submissions are posted, shall be granted two-hundred minas.
