STALWART STONE

 

As madness grapples with the order of Kal’Darakaan, Yemekar’s Workforce strives to strengthen the stone with the might of industry. To this end, we remind the Workforce and aspiring apprentices of its current focus, as well announce changes and endeavors to come:

 

Campaign against Tagum

 

First of all calamities to address is the ongoing decay of dwarven society. The Workforce stands as the greatest advocate for Khaz’A’Dentrumm and endures the traditions of Urguan’s legacy through its industry. To hear out the folk, I call for an assembly of Yemekar’s Workforce to be held on the 12th of the next Grand Harvest, to discuss the state of affairs in dwarfdom and the needs of the Workforce in troubling times. [OOC: Saturday the 3rd at 12 PM EST]

 

Already measures are being taken to steady the stone against the coming calamity, and justice to be enacted on the madness in the kingdom. Glod Grimgold has been made to take an oath before Khaz’A’Dentrumm and his ancestors to fight the Glodite Cult. Ursus Grandaxe shall take an oath and trials before Dungrimm to redeem for his kinslay. This month, Elder Grimgolds have been summoned for a trial before the gods on the brewing heresies circulating about their clan, especially that slander of Paragon Tungdil Goldhand, and justice delivered. [OOC: Sunday the 28th, 5 PM EST]

 

Another atrocity that has come to attention is the words of Karl Blackroot, commonly referred to as Mao. It was spoken last stone evening that Mao has been coercing beardlings into taking the form of a bryophyte, encouraging them to pervert the blessed form of Yemekar’s design in favor of the boons offered by mischievous fae spirits. Worse yet perhaps has Mao claimed to know the will of Anbella, threatening a prisoner that suicide or becoming a bryophyte was the only means of redemption. This shall not do, and Mao is summoned to explain himself before the temple of the World Maker, and arrange for a trial as speedily as possible. [OOC: No set time. Happy Roleplaying :)]

 

Doom of Dragons

 

The terrible reign of the Dragon King endures, a shadow of terror and ruin looming out from his dark bastion in the west. The Azdrazi and drake which burned our valley had been sent out with the might of the Absolution, though Cloudbreaker was sent in turn to intimidate and terrorize our capital. In preparation to hunt and defeat the fiend, the Absolution must be restored and refurbished for battle, as well as other weapons of war made to have a chance at defeating such terrible foes. The alchemists of the guild will meet on the Deep Cold to prepare Blasting Potions, Auric Oil and Frost Oil to use against the drakes, as well potentially to create a macro-machine to assist in further efforts. Mining Expeditions

 

For the acquisition of stronger materials to make greater weapons and grow our hoard, mining expeditions into the underways and regions beyond our borders are paramount. The late Mafraedon Irongrinder discovered a valley to the far north with suspected bountiful metals though perilous conditions, and in his honor Darek Irongrinder shall lead an expedition into the Northwest to find passage to these treasures on the First Seed. [OOC: Friday the 2nd, Time TBD]

 

Though this service is appreciated and important, it is not enough. The guild urgently needs more prospectors willing to lead expeditions, and will pay both attendees and hosts in either share of the resources or minas for their service.

 

Library of Ogradhad

 

The library continues to be an important stronghold of culture and wisdom in a city of madness. Currently led by Loremaster Atandt Irongrinder, the current objectives of the Library of Ogradhad are to compose dwarven volumes on the many subjects upon the shelves in a more accurate lens according to the teachings of the Brathmordakin, not foreign scholars. Workers blessed by Ogradhad are encouraged to seek out Atandt Irongrinder to aid in the efforts.

 

Honor of Armakak

 

Armakak is an oft served god though rarely venerated beyond the Elder Clan Goldhand. Once there were Merchants Guilds and companies that busied themselves with his business, but rarely do they last long. Nonetheless, the Workforce is always seeking willing merchants to help advertise more commissions and orders to sell, and has eagerly partnered with the Goldhand Trading Company to sell our products, hopefully leading to higher pay for our workers. In celebration of Armakak, Thalgrim Goldhand will be hosting a great Auction to sell the many wares and materials of the workforce soon, with its own independent announcement. [OOC: Link]

 

In a similar light, after past difficulties in quickly liquidating kingdom-backed currency, the Workforce is creating its own payment system for use within the Workforce. There shall be an absolute guarantee of backing and refund at any time unlike the karzul and minek of the Grand Kingdom, money owed through coins in circulation shall not be treated as the wealth of the guild to be spent on whims of leadership but instead held in earnest trust.

 

Yemekar’s Command

 

Though I am blessed by the gods to lead their greatest guild, I am but a mortal dwed who is incapable of operating it to its best potential on my lonesome. It is for such a reason that the many Lords and Overseers of the guild exist, so that they may share the glorious burden of both divine purpose and leadership. My deepest gratitude I extend towards Nara, Ulfar and Durin; for in my absence as of late they have done exceptional. To this end, Nara is being promoted to Forge Lord so that she might lead all metalworking and craftsmanship within Urguan. Ulfar shall in turn be elevated to the position of Yemekar’s Pick, an office to be separated from my own as Rhun Prophet, and he shall lead the coordination between industrial business of the guilds, whilst I shall be given more time to focus on the projects that honor the gods within the Workforce. 

 

In honor of their promotions, there shall be a great celebration to the Rhun and Yemekar in the coming years, with feasting, great drinks and competition with rare prizes. More shall be said on this in a future announcement.

Ever a paranoid man, if Norli had heard such words, he would perhaps wonder what Mao was referring to, and how he learned of such events in absence. But Norli had not heard him.

Mao was referring to the events that happened in the senate when the irongrinders based on Ursus' Grandaxes words called for a genocide of the epiphytes. Since norli is a well known ally of theirs , and told the same story as Ursus told the irongrinders in the senate it does not take a genius to piece it together.
