“Let us read, and let us dance; these two amusements will never do any harm to the world.”

Our youth seems to bypass us with such ease when it is not treasured. For an eve, the clock of time will stop, allowing those of ages young to old to reminisce while crafting new memories. Those around Velec and beyond the borders of Adria are invited to the newly finished ballroom of Castle St. Emalyne to relish in these joyful festivities and continue to rejoice in youthful admiration.

The Duchess and her Ladies expect those who attend to adorn themselves with light and airy colors, leaving such gloom at the gate.

A Lasting Dance

To ensure one and all enjoy themselves, it is highly encouraged that each attendee introduces themselves to a new partner in which they may accompany themselves during the evening.

For those of more curious intentions, a box will be placed outside of the ballroom for individuals to scribe their name. During the final dance, Lady Allessandra de Vend will announce the new pairings.

Lunventues Calling

An unknown judge will watch those on the dance floor for the final waltz, choosing the couple which shows a required elegance and youthfulness within their dance. They will be then titled among the party the ‘Emalyne Pearls’ and bestowed rings of precious diamond harvested from the Velec mines.

Frivolous Fabrics

Another judge, decided beforehand, will delight the guests with their eye for fashion. As stated before, it is expected for those invited to wear colors of light intent, and the one in the finest gown or suit will be granted a 100 Mina prize & a free book voucher for the Secret Garden Bookstore, announced after the Emalyne Pearls have been.

Godric de Vend clicked his tongue as he looked over the missive. A slight curiosity sparked in his eyes as he looked out the window of the ruins he currently found himself within. A large desk stood there, and upon it his writings and the book he had spent over a decade to complete.. The reasons for his absent mind, the reasoning for his unrelenting desire to keep away.. yet he thought to himself as the moonlight settled on the ruins that nature herself had laid claim to, maybe, just maybe it was time to return?

The nonchalant, and often dour Amelia Varoche lets a slight grin encroach onto her face, pleased a ball is coming to town. She sends a letter to one of her many fashion forward friends, requesting a dress.

Dame Valda read over the missive, sighing slightly. She'd chase Allessandra down in the Velec's square. "Light colors, a waltz contest, pearl of the Emalyne?"  The dame read off with much disdain in her tone. "You've ought to be kidding me, please do not make me go to this!" Valda pleaded as she recalled their prior interaction regarding the festivities.

"Luckily, you do not need to go dress shopping, Val." She responded simply before she moved to walk away once more the pleas unheard by the young woman. @Jtit
