Hört, hört, people of Minitz,
For your Herzog has returned.
Long has my journey been,
Now come to conclusion.

 

With the completion of our successful evacuation, I see it fit to relieve the blessed Regent Karl of his duties, such that he may return to his usual station, grand contributor of the realm. Let us enjoy my return in great glory, and give thanks to the Thegn Karl for his excellent statesmanship during our most trying times as a people.

Karl smiled in the newly established camp in the outskirts of Savoy. It had been a grueling three years for the Minitzers. The conflict with Adria, the incursions and then outright invasion by the Mori into their lands had taken their toll. He had done his best to guide them through this in his time as Lord Regent. Now he could only hope that it had been enough as he looked to the returned Brandt, ready to return to his duty as the Erstkanzler of Minitz.
