Descending from The Tyvaros Region, this family of Aeltarosi are tougher than diamonds and have the wit to outsmart anyone around them. They live to enjoy themselves and prioritize their family above all else. While not all of them fit this description, this is the foundation the family was built on. Their House colors are golds, blues, and whites. A rich and regal color palette fit for such a family of high values. They can usually be seen donning gold accents with pale green eyes to match. To finish it off they have their hair tied back into braids and dreadlocks to fight the heat of The Tyveros Region. But even with their rather goofy and carefree nature, this family holds loyalty down to the bone.

THE TYVAROS REGION

The Serpent’s Region

The Tyvaros Region is located atop a mountain rainforest. A Cloud Forest. Fog clouds most of the terrain making it hard to traverse for anyone but the natives. This gives them the upper edge of protection against enemies. Many pools of water sit at the bottom of these mountainous regions, waterfalls a common sight. The main city of this region consisted of a giant tree with a river and waterfall flowing through the roots. The people lived around the river, farming and cultivating livestock. While some lived on the ground, others preferred to make their homes within the large branches of the tree; the rulers of the region at the very top.

TYVAROS MYTHS

It is said that long ago when the Aeltarosi were first settling into this region that creatures known as Amphitheres roamed free. The Aeltarosi tamed these beasts, training and honing in their skills to better suit the growing population. Amphitheres are winged serpents, scaly beasts with beautiful vibrant feathered wings. The Amphithere is a sacred creature, once often used in ceremonies with their feathers or the snakes the Aeltarosi  kept. Due to it being a serpent, anything relating to snakes or birds was considered something to be cherished. And while the large beasts are no longer around, their stories ring clear in those still carrying on its legacy.

APPEARANCE

The people of The Tyvaros Region definitely stand out among their fellow Aeltarosi of other Regions. With dark warm complexions and more blondish white hair rather than pure white, these Aeltarosi stand tall and proud averaging 5’7 for women and 6’4 for men. Of course, there are cases outside of this range with some getting up to 6’7 and all the way down to 4’5. The Tyvaros Region prides itself on its longer hair, common hairstyles include braids and dreads to combat the high humidity of Cloud Forests.  As you grow older, it is normal for one to attach beads to their hair as a sign of maturity and growth; Tattoos being another common sight. The people would use different dyes and pigments to give themselves tattoos for each major accomplishment. First hunt, first duel, marriage, and whatnot. Gold was also a common sight, the people using it in just about everything. The mountains were bursting with the mineral, jewelry and accents almost entirely made out of gold. Feathers fallen from the Amphitheres were often imitated using feathers from birds all around. Dying and coloring them into the vibrant hues that once roamed the lands. They tied these in their hair, on their clothes. Weaved into jewelry and used in ceremonies.

FAMILY VALUES

The Aeramor Family knows hard work pays off. But they also know not to waste energy where it isn’t needed. Spending more time on something when there could be an easier and better way to do it is one of the big goals of an Aeramor. Not cutting corners, but working smarter. Outsmarting their opponent, their peers, their family. Cleverness and witty attributes are seen in almost every Aeramor, they are much more relaxed than other families. They live to enjoy it for their own, not to please others at the expense of themselves.

THE COMING OF AGE CEREMONY

When an Aeramor Aeltarosi reaches the age of eighteen they are then ready for their final test. This test is what promotes them from child to adult meaning they can now participate in conversations involving family matters. The test is a sacred one, passed down generation to generation by each Head of every generation.

The Challenge

As one reaches their eighteenth birthday that is when they begin to think about what kind of challenge they’d like to do. These challenges can range from competition in hobbies, a game of sorts, or even a duel. The goal of the challenge is to outsmart the current Head of House, not overpower or simply win by force. One must be witty, clever, sly as those are the values of the House.

Victory or Defeat

If one wins the challenge, they proceed onto the Ceremony. The ceremony consists of an event of their choosing. This ceremony ends with the Aeramor gaining a middle name. This middle name describes the person as they enter adulthood, from adjectives like bold, kind, harsh, and even miserable. This is a sacred gift passed onto the person by the Family Head and if it is done in poor favor the adults may overrule this decision. During this, the adults of the household welcome the once child into the ranks and the children of the family say goodbye until they also reach their own ceremony. If one is to lose, they remain a ‘child’ and may retry again the next year. Even so, failure is not frowned upon within the family. It just proves you still have a bit more growing to do before you are ready to join the ranks.

COMBAT

The Jungle is home to many ferocious and dangerous creatures within the dense foliage that creates their homeland. Due to this, the Tyvaros Aeltarosi focuses on operating with quick throws, sweeps, and joint locks to control an opponent. Their chosen weapons being the panabas, talibong, kris, or kampilan to focus heavy cleaving or cuts as if chopping limbs away like the jungle’s dense brush. Some family members also choose to create a modified version of the panabas or talibong, creating it into a polearm. Along with the melee tactics, the Tyvaros Aeltarosi also use heavy draw-weight bows with tips designed to pierce small gaps with deadly accuracy.
