Chariote and Onyx

 

There is a blessing bestowed by Luara’s light, one that was passed onto the Dark Elven people. The Maehr roamed with Velulaei, it is through her guidance they thrived. It is through their hardship that our ancestors gained entry to Stargûsh’Stroh. For it was Krug which first opened the eyes of Veluari to the spirits. As we move forward, with-mind of our ancestors and knowledge of the spirits they praised, we will all join one another in Stargûsh’Stroh. The realm of our Great Ancestors, be they of the Mali'ker or of the Uruk and their Noble kin.  For as we walk the same path, it is only natural that we shall help one another forward. To the land beyond, where our kin wait for us to join them. Our lands are far, but distance is all that separates us. Together, we shall lift our people from the dark. As Velulaei would not have it any other way. As the Maehr once did, as shall we. To falter not to horrid blights or outside aggression. 

 

Together, those of Chariote and those of Onyx walk a path only few are honored to walk. For we all shall unite with our ancestors within the Stargûsh’Stroh. Living in peace within the great cities.

The Concordat

 

Section I; On Religious Matters

 

Article I.

The Ashen State acknowledges The Onyx Sanctum as the legitimate guardians of the ancient traditions and spirituality known as the Old Ways.

 

Article II.

The Onyx Sanctum is willing to accommodate individuals from Nor'asath who are considered incapable of functioning in society due to cursed insanity or other reasons. They offer a chance for these prisoners to be reintegrated. However, if reintegration attempts prove unsuccessful, the Onyx Sanctum reserves the option to either execute the prisoners or banish them from the Ashen Realm.

 

Article III.

Nor'asath will be acknowledged by the Onyx Sanctum as the exclusive Guardian of the Faith. Nor'asath pledges to deploy their entire military might in order to safeguard the peace and security of the Onyx followers or adherents of the Old Ways.

Section II; On Political Matters

 

Article I.

The Ashen Realm considers the Onyx Sanctum to fall under its political jurisdiction. Any act of aggression or hostile behavior directed towards the Onyx Sanctum will be regarded as a direct assault on the sovereignty of Nor'asath.

 

Article II.

Nor'asath will recognize the Onyx Sanctum as an autonomous entity. The Onyx Sanctum has the authority to enforce its own judgments, regulations, and legal system within the designated area known as the hallowed grounds of the Onyx Sanctum. Any that enter the hallowed grounds of The Onyx Sanctum will be subject to their laws and regulations regardless of their standing within the Ashen Realm. However, members of the Onyx Sanctum do not possess the right to enforce these rulings outside the hallowed grounds of the Onyx Sanctum, and they will be subject to the laws of Nor'asath when present within Nor'asath's territory. 

 

Article III.

The Onyx Sanctum reserves the right to bar entry to any Nor’asath Citizen, but not to imprison citizens without the official consent of the Silan’siol or the Ashen Realm. Members of the Silan’siol or Maehr Clergy need direct permission from a member of the Onyx Sanctum to enforce physical might in the hallowed grounds of the Onyx Sanctum and vice versa.  When within the domain of Nor’asath members of The Onyx Sanctum retain all rights as found in Articles of Civil Law, in addition to being required to follow the laws of Nor’asath. 

 

Article IV.

Nor'asath and the Onyx Sanctum will establish a comprehensive military agreement aimed at safeguarding the well-being of the Dark Elves. This alliance entails mutual support in military matters, with the commitment to assist one another in the face of internal or external threats.

Article V. 

Primarch Acria Jusmia recognizes Qudlia Jusmia as the Primarch of Onyx. Primarch Qudlia Jusmia recognizes Acria Jusmia as the Primarch of Mali’ker. The Clan Hall of Jusmia, will be, until a different area is agreed upon, be considered as the Hallowed Grounds of the Onyx Sanctum. 

 

Article VI.

Any amendments to or the termination of the treaty require the mutual agreement of both signatories. If either signatory believes that the Concordat has been violated, they are obligated to engage in diplomatic discussions to address and resolve such disputes before declaring the treaty nullified. Failure to pursue diplomatic resolution may result in the risk of violating the treaty itself.

 

Article VII.

This treaty shall come into effect and be considered valid from the date of its signing and will remain in force indefinitely, unless it is broken by either party or mutually dissolved by both parties.

An Apology: Strengthening Unity in the Ashen Realm of Nor'asath

Today, I write to you with an admission of my own shortcomings as a leader entrusted with the responsibility of guiding the maehr. Recently, in my eagerness to propel our realm forward, I made a decision of great consequence without affording it the thorough consideration it deserved. I allowed haste to cloud my judgment, neglecting the vital input and perspective that should have been sought from my esteemed counterpart and council. Recognizing the gravity of my mistake and the potential repercussions it may have had on our collective well-being, I announce the temporary withdrawal of the agreement that was hastily approved. I firmly believe that decisions of such magnitude should be made collaboratively, upholding the principles of transparency, accountability, and shared responsibility that underpin our realm.
