A Cold Breeze Through The Banners

 

 

Slumbering beneath the snowy mountains harbored a young witchling with aspirations of power and the devastation of mortals. This witch twisted and turned as a vision was broadcast to her. A prophecy of what is to come……

 

You awake shivering, legion banners can be seen moving closer over the horizon of the snowy peaks. Clattering of armor, swords, and bone can be heard. The legion of dark ones come. Monstrosities of all sizes serve for greater power. Deep within the mountain rumbles as a giant worm-like creature breaks out and screams. The sky darkens with a bat-like shape covering the sun. The sea's waves smash and crash into the land of Aevos as tentacles destroy armadas. 

 

The legion continues marching. Every step they take chaos takes. What little humans they pass by are fuel for the ever growing hoard. Their marches do not stop, their endurance knows no bounds. In the distance behind them flags of every human nation lay torn and dormant. Armies are destroyed, and more will come and meet the same fate.

 

At the end of the vision written on the armor of a slain soldier was a puzzle

 

Kill one and another will take its place

Kill another and we will take your face

 

We will rise from the dead

Chaos will be spread

 

This is the never dying legion

And we will control all regions
