[Pact] Rolling dice & Pumpkin deals

'Twas a calm and peaceful day in The Shire of Dunwen, the sun was shining, birds were singing;

and a little Halfling was smoking his cigar in his lovely burrow.

"Hmm, I think I'm ready, 'tis something I should've done right as I started this journey."

As the Halfling prepared himself mentally, he started to place his pipeweed fused candles around his room.

As he sat down he started chanting in Old Blah, going on a Spirit Walk, but where?

"Lup Lady Luck, frum ob fitg, nork'ishi izub frum'maturz lat bot'ishi.

Izishu'ur khl'ug gimbat iist'um."

As he chanted in Old Blah soon his spirit would leave his body.

 

"Ugh my head is spinning like crazy, this usually doesn't happen."

As the Halfling looked around he'd find himself on top of a... playing card?

Cards and dice, tokens red and black, wheels spinning; everything was spinning in this shining space.

 

Amongst the chaos a female voice would be heard singing

"Kul'mirz atîg?" the Halfling asked

 

"Oh'izub! Ash frum'shra"

And from the chaos a golden lady dressed in fine clothing appeared

"My my it's my old adherent Breasal!"

"You know me?" he said confused

"Why of course, all those times you summoned my name, all those prayers.

How else do you think you returned safely home from that battle with the bug?" the woman clarified

"So it was you. I'm thankful, then I'll go straight to the point, I wish to form a pact with you" he explained

"Not-so-faaast" Lady Luck said in a singing manner

"You have forgotten about me didn't-cha? You'll need to repay your lost time" she pointed out

"Fair point, then I'll make haste to act your word back in The Shire" he said as he offered his hand

"Do we have a deal?"

As Lady Luck shook the Halfling's hand a shinning light would emerge from their handshake

"Goooooood luck" as she said the pact was sealed and the Halfling returned to his body

A few hours later the Halfling took a deep breath and prepared himself for a second Spirit Walk

"Lup Lord Knox, frum ob sru'dobz, nork'ishi izub frum'maturz lat bot'ishi.

Izishu'ur khl'ug gimbat iist'um." he chanted in Old Blah and again his spirit would leave his body

 

As the Halfling's spirit was transported he'd find himself in the middle of a vast and endless wheat field

However, the skies would be dark and cloudy, far off in the distance an old crooked scarecrow stood

 

 

"Gundul'ul......" a faint and ragged voice came from the scarecrow

The Halfling's curiously approached the scarecrow

"Zaug'gundul....." it whispered again

As the Halfling approached closer the whispers repeated themselves and became louder

"Kul'lat..... Ta?" the Halfling asked, scared if he was in the right place

"Akh, kul'izg Ta, ash bugduga Lord Knox" the scarecrow spoke clearly,

with every word it's pumpkin face would light up

"Goth'izub, kul'izg tul lat ghûlum" he said kneeling down,

explaining his reason for being here was to form a pact

"Breasal..... rise beloved child of Billy Bob and eat these seeds" as Lord Knox spoke,

he presented a mixture of various seeds

As he stood he'd eat all the seeds at once without question

"Go forth and act upon the task I was given"

As Lord Knox spoke the Halfling would feel his spirit return

"Protect them at all costs" he spoke one last time

 

Soon enough he was back in his lovely burrow, now ready to begin his work.
