Stories tell that when new hunters would arrive in the woodlands, they could often observe where Crothstad was staying because birds would not fly anywhere near the area, and small critters would never be present. This was due to both Lif and the hunter’s incredible aim, which is said to have been able to strike any flying creature through the tree branches with perfect accuracy.

General Redlines

Spoiler

- Lif has the strength of hardened steel, but only weighs as must as an average bow.
- Can be fired without using Aim True.
- Should Lif become damaged, it will repair itself over [1] OOC day.

- For the purpose of this CArt, a creature is classified as a player-played CA or a non-descendant non-player character, such as a deer for example.

Aim True [Combative]
Perhaps the reason why Crothstad was rumored to never miss an arrow, by allowing the runes on Lif to charge the hunter may fire an intensely precise arrow toward their target. This requires [3] emotes, [2] for the runes to glow on the bow as an arrow is prepared to be fired, and [1] additional emote for the arrow to soar toward its target with a trail of red haze.

Aim True Redlines

Spoiler

- Will not have enhanced accuracy against player creatures unless  the wielder is on a hunt. Attacking an Azdrazi you stumbled upon is not a hunt, but stalking and attacking an encampment of some creatures could be.

- Requires [3] emotes, [2] to charge the runes and prepare the arrow, and [1] additional emote to fire the arrow.
- Does not increase the speed or strength at which the arrow flies.
- The arrow fired will nearly always hit its target where intended, though the hunter must remain focused on their target the entire time, requiring line of sight.
- Has a cooldown of [2] emotes once the arrow is fired, though the bow could still be fired normally during this time.

- The wielder must be stationary and not on a mount to use Aim True.

- Has a range of [48] blocks.

Endless Quiver [Passive, Combative]
Crothstad would never waste precious time on crafting arrows, and neither do those who yield Lif like Crothstad once did. Likewise, the wielder does not need to worry about carrying a quiver that could potentially become snagged on a stray branch or on an overhanging rock in a cave, as they would find that arrows magically form in their hand as they begin to pull back Lif's bowstring.

Endless Quiver Redlines

Spoiler

- Whenever the wielder pulls back the bowstring, an arrow will magically form in their hand with a red haze.
- The haze may not obscure the arrow, it serves as a tell to others of it forming.
- The arrow is completely mundane.
- Does not reduce the amount of emotes needed to shoot Lif or any other weapons

- The arrows produced by Endless Quiver are considered magical projectiles, and are capable of hitting corporal and incorporeal beings. Furthermore, while the arrows may pierce skin, should they strike armor, they will dent it as if they were blunt instead.

The Hunt’s Calling

Rumored to be the reason that Crothstad never left the woods, upon wielding one of his relics the user would find that their mind becomes drawn towards large and difficult hunts. Often those who yield multiple relics would feel their minds before more instinctual, acting as if they were an animal themselves, with each relic drawing their mind further towards the great hunt.

Like the legendary Crothstad who yielded this relic in the past, the holder’s mind will undergo a wild transformation that scales depending on how many relics they possess. Someone who holds one relic, for example, may simply feel the need to hunt for all their food, though someone who holds three may spend hours of their day within the forest. Should all six successfully be brought together, the owner may lose their mind to the thrill of the hunt entirely.

The Hunt's Calling Redlines

Spoiler

- Collecting one or two of the Crothstad Relics will cause the holder’s mind to be more inclined towards hunting. For example, they may feel the need to spend time out in nature or hunt for their own food.
- Collecting three or four Crothstad Relics will cause the owner to become more animalistic, oftentimes feeling a rush of intense adrenaline from hunting. They may operate more on instinct and may become upset if someone hunts on their land. The feelings that one feels towards the hunt are now akin to an orcish blood rush.

- Those with three or more artifacts will additionally become difficult to coordinate with and speak to, as their mind becomes obsessed with the hunt. They will no longer work well with others, and will not participate with other's plans.
- Collecting five Crothstad Relics will put the owner’s mind on the verge of becoming completely consumed by The Hunt. No longer would they willingly spend time in cities and eat food they did not hunt. The user will also feel heavily inclined to create shrines using animal bones, much as Crothstad himself did.
- Collecting all six Crothstad Relics will cause the owner to become completely lost in The Great Hunt, powerless to the desire to hunt larger and greater animals and creatures.
- The effects listed above are examples of what could occur at each tier, players are welcome to roleplay the effects more harshly or create new ones should they fit the theme.
- Even if stored away in a chest, the owner will still feel the effects of the relics as they call them towards The Hunt.

- For the purpose of this CArt, a creature is classified as a player-played CA or a non-descendant non-player character, such as a deer for example.

Explanation of the effects:

Lif is the bow that Crothstad once wielded, and his signatures runes are carved within it. These runes grant the wielder of Lif the ability to fire an arrow extremely precisely and also grant them a seemingly infinite quiver, as arrows form in the hands of the user as they pull back the bowstring.
