Aeolwyn The Elf 139 Share Posted October 18, 2011 Message From The King Hello People of Oren, many of you do not seem to know that there is a law against farms in homes or shops. Although i have posted 2 signs about this, many still seem unaware. I am here to tell you that if you have a farm in your home or shop you WILL be fined. The fine is 200 mina, but will change depending on the size, and how many farms you have. I suggest removing them NOW, or you may pay the consequences. ~King Enor
。◕‿‿◕。 Hawk Whitestorm 715 Share Posted October 18, 2011 King Enor, is it okay that the Rangers have a farm underground at their base? We don't have room above ground.
Aeolwyn The Elf 139 Author Share Posted October 18, 2011 Guards, Rangers, and Knights may have a farm for everybody to share.
UltraRed 78 Share Posted October 18, 2011 ((If I may, I would suggest changing the fine to 10 minas per block of farmland, with a minimum fine of 200 minas. That way, it is both scalable, and is enough of a setback that people would want to avoid it. Because let's be honest, 200 minas is not a lot of money. It's a third of the cost of a set of iron armor, and most people have plenty of those.))
Jdsd 6 Share Posted October 18, 2011 ((A very good idea, however, it seems a little complicated for the current denizens of Oren, as of late.))
Aeolwyn The Elf 139 Author Share Posted October 18, 2011 I might setup a system for it. If it still proves to be an issue in the future.
LuigiNova 28 Share Posted October 18, 2011 My King, would you like me or one of the other Knights to walk around the homes in Al'Khazar and inspect them if there still is and basement farms?
Nero 347 Share Posted October 20, 2011 Although I do not have an underground farm of my own, I still must wonder, why is this law being enforced? This law just seems kind of pointless, maybe you could explain why it was put into play?

This law just seems kind of pointless, maybe you could explain why it was put into play? I too dont understand, Is so we have to purchase a farm from the king so he shall become richer? I understand that, if the kingdom was going broke. But I dont really see the big deal, theres no harm in it.
Nero 347 Share Posted October 20, 2011 I patiently am awaiting my reply from a person of authority so hopefully Oren's people will eventually understand. I agree with you though Aragorn, this law does not make sense for the time being.
Nero 347 Share Posted October 20, 2011 ((underground farms= unrealistic)) Too many people having underground farms will cause farmlands to be neglected I guess. [OOC] I'm not really sure if that is the reason though.

Governments don't tax people because they use it for their own salary.))
kido122 23 Share Posted October 20, 2011 I didnt mean it that way, I know where the tax goes
Nero 347 Share Posted October 20, 2011 [OOC] it still really wouldn't be that worth it to only be fined 200 minas. Hopefully Enor explains it.
