[!] A DEPICTION OF THE CORRUPTED CREATURE BEING EXECUTED

lVEAoyZ.png

A peaceful and pleasant day has been turned upside down when the presence of a dark creature has disturbed the Lands of the Canondom. His Grace Franz Bishop St. Godwin visited the lands surrounding Salvo, Lurin, where the 'Salvian men' constructed a new chapel. He was greeted by a host of faithful believers who hoped to spend a quiet evening, in which to reflect with GOD. His Grace was inspecting the newly inaugurated chapel, giving advice about its decoration, organisation and masses. Until a noise disturbed the peace of the holy chapel.

The door of the chapel opened and to the surprise of all present, who turned their gaze to the door, they found a dark creature staring at the host. The creature ran swiftly to the scaffolding of a nearby ruined building, climbing up and standing on a higher height. It was pursued by the host, who were concerned at its presence. The first reaction of the group was calm, they tried to reassure the creature so that it would talk. The 'monkey-man' declared herself a believer and follower of GOD, reassuring the host.

After climbing the ruined tower to the height of the corrupt creature, GOD's men tried to negotiate with it, seeking information about its presence. However, this one seemed to be corrupted, showed clear signs of aggression, and suddenly threw a barrel at the acolyte Randir. All present took refuge behind a stone wall, calling for calm from the creature. The creature, instead of dialogue and the use of words, continued to show an aggressive attitude, clearly not a creature willing to dialogue with men of GOD. Suddenly, it pulled out a small boat which it mounted, and launched itself into the void, falling into the waters of the swamp surrounding the tower. It was knocked unconscious.

Cedric and the acolyte hurried down the tower, pulling the drowning monkey man out of the water. They decided to put him against a nearby post and observed that he had a broken leg. Suddenly, the obscure monkey man woke up and struck them both in the neck, trying to murder them! Luckily, Randir was quick and plunged his dagger into the creature's other leg, leaving it motionless on the ground.  Seeing that its end was near, the creature surrendered and showed its true face: ‘The Red Lord has returned’ it declared. He also declared himself as an sleeping agent of the 'fallen arch-lich'.

Tristan gave the host permission to behead the creature. Silas Morgan, standing back, rushed forward with his battle axe and decapitated the creature, ending its life. At the moment of death, the sun reflected off the creature for a few seconds, causing its body to disappear, turning to dust and leaving no trace. Clearly this was dark and corrupted magic. Fortunately, the corrupted creature will never again disturb the Lands of Canondom.

Penned by,

SIR Cedric, a faithful, a devout, a believer

Tristan found himself standing at the edge of the marshes. A heron landed nearby. Now old and of limited mobility, he wished that he too could soar. But wanting was improper, impious. He chastised himself and folded his hands behind his back. This island of Canondom was as the cool breeze to the desert flame. It was his mission to cleanse and bring pious tranquility to his swamp. He made sure to give his thanks to his men when he saw them again.

Levi rode into a commotion at camp, having spent the day foraging for alchemical ingredients. When he got word of what happened in his absence, he made a note to be armed even when picking flowers…

"God grants us the strength to defeat his enemies. Praised He be!" The young acolyte muttered to himself as he read the missive.

“Death to the evil-doers that trespass in the lands of Canondom!” Silas would say as he began to clean his axe from the blood of the wretched creature.
