The Felsen Watch

"Honor? Loyalty? No. We only serve the coin."

Introduction

In the ever-shifting tides of war, where kings rise and fall, there is one constant: the mercenary's blade. The Felsen Watch offers no allegiance to crowns, thrones, or noble causes. We are loyal to one thing: Mina. Highest bidder takes all.

Founded by the infamous swordsman Gaylord de Felsen, this band of cutthroats, former soldiers, and battle-hardened mercenaries fights for gold, and gold alone. Whether it’s defending a fort, attacking a caravan, or holding the line in a pitched battle—our loyalty lies with whoever can pay the highest price.

Our Services

From personal bodyguards to battlefield shock troops, the Felsen Watch will serve any faction, city, or nation that has the Mina to pay. We specialize in:

  • Siege Warfare – Breach or defend fortifications with elite tactics.
  • Assassinations & Skirmishes – Precision strikes and small-scale raids.
  • Escort & Defense – Protect caravans, trade routes, and high-profile figures.
  • Battlefield Hirelings – Increase your army’s might with seasoned fighters.

With the Felsen Watch at your side, your enemies will soon tremble. But remember, we fight for coin, not for honor.

Ranks & Structure

The Felsen Watch operates under a strict hierarchy, ensuring that orders are followed and no one questions the loyalty to Mina.

1. The Watcher-General

The leader of the Watch, only one holds this title, and their word is law. The Watcher-General negotiates contracts, leads in battle, and ensures every member is paid their due.

2. Sentinels

The elite officers of the Watch. Each Sentinel commands a division of soldiers, ensuring discipline and cohesion in battle. Only those who have proven themselves through countless contracts may rise to this rank.

3. Wardens

The backbone of the Watch. Veteran fighters who have survived many battles and have earned the respect of their peers. Wardens enforce the law of the Watch within their ranks and train new recruits.

4. Initiates

Fresh recruits who seek fortune but have yet to prove themselves. An Initiate must survive three contracts before they earn the right to call themselves a Warden. Until then, they fight under the strict orders of their superiors.

Joining the Felsen Watch

If the coin calls to you, and you have the skill to fight for it, then the Felsen Watch welcomes you. But be warned: this life is not for the weak. If you join, know that failure is paid in blood, and betrayal in something far worse.

Deep in the Abyss, shackled in black chains and torments unknowable, the doomed soul of a Watchman reminisced of bygone strife on the streets of Johannesberg.

It dreamt of blood.

It dreamt of freedom.

But most of all it dreamt of

[!] The following letter would be sent to the Office of the Leader of the so-called Felsen Watch:

"CEASE & DESIST.

Dear Sir/Madam,

We regret to inform you that the Felsen Watch, founded during the Fifth Empire in the Imperial City of Felsen, was not a mercenary group but a brave city watch charged with the protection and defense of the Imperial City.

In consequence, we would like to request you not to use the trade-mark "Felsen Watch", currently registered by the Felsen Legacy Group Inc., or else we shall be forced to take legal action against your company for trademark/copyright infringement.

Sincerely,

Alexander Darkwood

Attorney-At-Law"
