In Dedication to Exalted Owyn, Patron of War, Fire and Purity.

“Crush your Foes, Holy Owyn,

As you did when you led to people,

And smote them from skulls to greaves!

Take pity upon me, wretched and lost am I

And rescue your faithful servant.”

Litany of Intercession of the Rite of Oywn

As the Robertine Crusade rages across the continent, and as the Holy Nations of the Canondom find success after success, we must consider that these victories are only achieved through the grace of GOD. It is a sign of His Favour that countless military successes follow the armies of the canondom, but the questions remains: What is God’s Justification for this war, or any war? It is thus we turn to the theses of past scholars, and the Holy scrolls for insights into this matter. Though this matter is of theological importance, it also bears weight on the success of a conquest. A Just Holy war will always succeed; it can thusly be assumed that failed conflicts must have lacked the necessary Casus Belli Dei. Therefore, it is the goal of this essay to define what exactly is a Just and Holy war in the eyes of the LORD.

I. ON THE HOLINESS OF VIOLENCE

First, we turn to historical precedent in our search for definitional proof. The Scroll of Gospel proves most enlightening in this matter; proof here lies that war, o’ that most vile and vicious of conflicts, can indeed be practiced by Holy men, in a righteous way:

Though the people of Edel were virtuous, they were steeled by warfare, and neglected prayers in favor of battle.  They were cold and had no mirth in them, for Edel was the last good kingdom of Horen’s people.” Gospel, 4.3-4

The Edelites represent the first mention of warfare and virtuousness within the same polity. It can thusly be understood that strength of arms can coincide with virtuousness; indeed we see that the last holy kingdom in the time of Edel, was itself. This is the first establishment of warfare as a noble and holy art, and thusly there can be no question that some war is inherently righteous. This dismisses any concerns that violence, in all it’s forms, is unacceptable to god.

II. THE PREVENTION OF SIN & REJECTION OF SLOTH

Let it be understood; to fail to act to prevent sin, is to commit a sin it it’s own right. The Scroll of Virtue advises us against the wretched transgression of sloth:

So I am the Most High, and in pursuit of My Virtue, I bid my faithful this: You shall not be idle, nor forget your duties in favor of sloth.” - Virtue 4.6

GODAN Bids us to never forget out duties; our duty of diligence extends beyond the home, beyond the township, beyond the nation to the entirety of the world. THAT an egregious transgression against HOLY VIRTUE taketh place in another village, or still further yet another nation, is not an excuse for slothful ignorance and complacency.

Thus, we must consider that Holy Violence and Holy War is justifiable on the grounds of;

1). Preventing another from commiting sins of a grievous nature.

1.1) In the anticipation of sin being committed.

2). The avoidance of the sin of slothfulness by failing to prevent sin.

These are the chief and foremost reasons, according to the very word of GODAN that we must engage in Holy War against Saulician filth and Iblessian servants.

III. OF AUSPICE AND STRIFE

O’ ye pious brothers and sisters in GOD, we now turn to the Holy Scroll of Auspice delivered by Exalted Sigismund, telling of the end of days for examination. We see, that paradise, though indeed eventually achieved by the children of GOD, is not gifted, granted nor bartered for through wit and guile.

The achievement of PARADISE is only through a toilsome strife against the Ibeelsian ilk who will seek to corrupt and degrade all that is Holy and Right upon this world. Yet friends, do we not see this very day, the same unholy servants of the Archdaemon himself acting at his behest to pervert all we belove?

Though the end times hath not yet arrived, we must understand that STRIFE and BATTLE is not reserved for circumstances so dire; but rather that Auspice represents the

vigilance and fervour we must take up NOW, lest we find ourselves inexperienced in the ways of battle, and unfamiliar with the great toll it will cost to achieve the greatest reward there is, Paradise.

It is ONLY through VIGILANCE, BATTLE, and GREAT STRIFE today do we truely ready ourselves for the day Saulician Forces rise up in a number beyond count, and try to claim what is GOD’S. Though our Blessings are given to us, beyond our deservedness and beyond reproach; VICTORY is never costless and TRUMIPH is never granted.

GOD will always lead us to RIGHTEOUSNESS, but the resounding call of JUSTICE can only be answered by those who FIERCELY fight to uphold it.

IV. FLAMENISM, TO REIGNITE A DYING FLAME

It brings my heart great sorrow to hear so little of the great Flamenist tradition of clergyman in this truely trying and dark times. It is my hope to lend some weight to the reignition of this dying tradition of the faith, in the hopes fellow clerics will take up the Flame of Oywn, once more, and use it as a light to guide the militant faithful.

I direct those who might find themselves holding reservations against flamenist methods of faith, to Father Raymond’s Adhemer’s Thesis, On Flamenism for greater insights into the sect. Hereafter, let there be no fear that our militancy is anything but the highest expression of GOD’s will and of our wholehearted Faith.

"The lengths some men go to justify their slaughter. The Creator would smite you if he could hear the way you use his name." Cerrick commented from afar, the once holy man turning to a path that led away from organized religion.

"Freedom o'religion is lost on these idiots. Some o'this is like killin' a kid jus' so they don' grow up t'be a murderer."

The irony is almost funny to Sydney.
