Imports and Exports!

Here an idea. Im going to underline it, to make it look more important. Imports and Exports... It could be preety cool. For example, all towns need to make money. How do they do that, you might ask? Well, through taxes, shops, realestate, and its top export. Smaller, more spread out towns, can rely on exporting special goods, such as wheat, a specific potion, enchanted goods, and ores.

This could give a broader variety of jobs for people on the server. They could work in a bread mill, or as an enchanter, or as an official miner for a town. They would of course be paid in Minas. But wait! Thats not all how are these goods going to get around? Well maybe the supplier could hire some trustworthy citizens as carvaners, to aide in shipping products. The soldiers could have a little more exitement, and escourt some of the caravaners that hold "high value" products.

Also this provides an all new angle for villans. They could hold up, destroy, or even rob a caravan... Depending on how good a mood they are in. I think this could make the game more fun, more realistic, and greatly increase the quality of the RP.

It would also make some allys closer, or more distant. For example; " I think my kingdom should go to war with their kingdom. But thats where we get all our wheat from... hmm." some people may be less likely to start a conflict with there iron supplier. Wouldn't you?

Well thats all folks. Please leave a comment and tell me what you think. Even the haters are welcome.

Already thought out for LOTC2.0

Enchanting won't work without exp orbs, although I expect someone, somewhere, will probably code a plugin to automatically give you exp when you kill a monster, instead of having the server have to keep track of even more entities.

I am glad it is, I am hoping trade plays a larger part in the new world and that being a traveling merchant will me a viable occupation.

If professions were severely limited, it would work perfectly

Well example the dwarves would have to trade ores or armor or wheat from the humans.
